Spectacular - Almost as remote as you can get on earth. We were part of a “Backroads” group so were dropped off at Ship Creek (public toilets available) and then hiked north to a designated pick up spot along highway 6 just south of Knights Point.Stopped to cook fresh muscles collected in a pan over an open fire.It was low tide so we were able to go in to some caves. Check the tide table before hiking along this beach.

Great cafe at the Moeraki Beach. Good quality food and surrounds for a break.

An interesting place, round boulders clustered on a long beach. Access is by donation. Low tide is best to see them all, we went as the tide was coming in but still got some great pics. There weren't too many people on Sunday morning so was able to appreciate the atmosphere. I told my great nephews that they are dinosaur eggs ;)

We found a good POP, Red Barn by the Sea for our large RV, handy to the beach and boulders. Poor internet coverage so best have cash.
