Fort Street Accommodation

This establishment is really well located in Auckland's CBD and very affordable. Really convenient for accessing the many shops and transport services in the area.However, the service left a lot to be desired. Despite the convenience of the location, the service of most of the reception staff spoiled the stay. In addition to their lack of friendliness, they didn't listen. Despite telling us they would take care of it, in 4 days we were never able to get a blanket for our double bed (we only had a small single blanket on our double bed).Please note: no secure luggage storage facilities.The kitchen was very dirty.

Super central location that makes up for many of the other failings. Very basic rooms at an okay price for the location. Quite warm in the summer though, so a fan would have been great. The only issue we really ran into was that it is an alcohol-ban hostel which we didn’t know prior to booking. We didn’t want a raucous party but was disappointed to know we wouldn’t be able to have a quiet wine in our room.

The best part about the place was the location and the security of needing to have a keycard to access your level, the bathrooms and your room. Everything else was pretty poor. It was so unhygienic- the walls were peeling, dirty carpet, stained linen, the shared bathroom was horrendous and smelt horrible- I felt dirty after showering. The shared bathroom on our level was under maintenance so we needed to go to the level below every time we needed to use the facilities. The room was cold and there was no source of heating so I felt sick in the mornings. The staff weren’t very welcoming or friendly. I definitely won’t be staying here again and think they really need to work on their hygiene.

Had double room with ensuite, the downside is decoration need attending to and rooms are a little basic. Apart from that the bed and pillows we had were really comfy and curtains were pretty decent at keeping the light out so had a great few nights sleep. Key card locks on all levels and also front door so building felt safe and secure. Good size kitchen with all you need.Nice friendly staff.Could have maybe done with a fan in the room.Great location and would stay again.

The only good thing is the location.This is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed at. Don't believe the photos advertising this 'hostel'.The rooms are filled with mold, smells like a toilet.Yellow stains on the pillows, blood on the sheets.Shared toilets are dirty, and halfway under construction.This is NOT an exaggeration.We instantly booked another hotel.

Well for starters the room is gross paint peeling off the walls and no decor not a problem but still, bathroom was not clean either, the curtains has white stains as do the carpet and room had no air conditioning or heater, the TV had no remote, bedsheets had stains of God knows what , service was ok but they didn't offer any sorta help for the bedsheets, fire alarm went off for no reason cause apparently the room had no ventilation due to no windows other people staying here said the fire alarm went off 2days ago for the same problem not everyone left there rooms due to mixed Communications by staff and guests 100% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.go somewhere for a few extra dollars cause atleast you would have good service and a clean room.

The beds are comfortable but the rooms are not clean, especially the carpets. Walls and curtains not clean. This place doesn’t offer a large choice of services to travelers, we booked it hoping they would have a luggage room, they offered no solution to that. We’d suggest one of the rented rooms would be used for that, which would help travelers very much.
