Excellent experience of renting a car through Mason & Handy Rentals/Nelson Auto Rentals. Loved our clean and easy-to-drive hybrid (Toyota Aqua). Mason had great customer service and we appreciated the trip to the airport.

Mason at Hardy Cars was amazing to deal with. We have rented a car for two days at a very, very short notice. The price was excellent and there were no hidden costs like you see with mainstream car hire companies. The price we agreed was the price we paid. We were picked up at the airport, formalities took 2 minutes and off we went on a relaxing trip. The car was in top condition, well serviced, clean, all working as should. I have checked most car rental companies in the area and Hardy Cars is by far the best, local company with a good, relaxed, Kiwi attitude! Highly recommended.

Best, easiest car rental I‘ve ever had. The guys just parked the car in front of the airport so we just needed to hop in and start driving. Giving the car back was as easy as the pick up. Very friendly, great communication in advance. If u need a car around Nelson - rent ur car here! Very good price as well.

The experience we had with Mason at Hardy Cars was faultless. He picked us up from the airport as soon as we called and had our bags. He drove us back to the car yard where the check in only took a few minutes. We got a budget car, didn't know what to expect, but got a great little Mazda 2/demio. It drove well with no issues for the 7 days. Return was also a breeze. All businesses should be like this, incredible! We will definitely use Mason again when we come back. Such a genuine, likeable guy. Thanks heaps!!

Best car deal ever. The cars are on the old side but well maintained and reliable and probably account for the low price. Our group had three for a two week tour of the top half of the South Island and had no problems at all. The service is excellent; Mason and his team are very quick to respond. Pickup/dropoff and airport transfers are flexible and very efficient. Very highly recommended.

We chose Hardy Cars because of the gushing reviews, and now we understand why. Mason was always on the ball, and never minded questions, and nothing was a problem. The wee hybrid easily swallowed our one big suitcase and two smaller ones, plus a couple of carry-on backpacks, all in the boot. And was fun to try out. For customer service, I'd give Hardy Cars 10/10.
