Despite of being kind of difficult to open an account, the staff was very empathetic and they really help us with the whole process. Special thanks to Abhay Sharma who was very patient an helpful.

Waited 40 min in line only to be told they can’t give cash out. Watched 3 staff members just chatting and not fussed about serving those of us in line and waiting. Only one person on the counter the whole time helping one customer. What a joke. Could have at least come and told us that the bank clearly no longer operates as a bank.

I went in there to pay a property settlement amount and they declined doing one transfer. The bank teller didn’t even listen to my request before saying no I can’t help you, I asked to speak with the manager which was declined by him. Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced, so I had to sit in the bank and do the transfer on our app with the risk of it not being correct or getting a receipt.

Super poor customer service. Made an appointment a month ago to open new accounts, was given a hand written confirmation card but on the day they claim to have no record of it. Eventually after 10min of complaints we saw Abhay who was excellent (would personally give 5 stars) and got our accounts sorted. Many overseas bank accounts can be opened online (we couldn't open account with anz app), smh.

I've had my banking with ANZ right from day 1 in New Zealand. ANZ can be considered one of the premium banks here in New Zealand. Products and services offered are good but could be more customized to fit every customer in my opinion. The Albany mall branch has recently been renovated, is very well presented and maintained. Customer service is good and staff members are usually helpful. My last dealing was with Abhay who was extremely kind, generous, understanding, knowledgeable, quick and helpful. He was different from all the other typical bankers and offered tailored solutions in line with my particular requirements. He was not pitching for expensive products/services but rather offering customized solutions suitable for my long term financial wellbeing. However, something I'd like to mention here is that ANZ is sometimes too blinded by its strict protocols, procedures, black and white policies and end up angering it's loyal/long term customers. The front line bankers/staff members end up taking the wrath of these customers but it's actually the policy makers that need to work on this area and make some significant improvement. Overall a good bank for all your banking requirements given their speed and efficiency.

Teagon is a professional lady who handled an unpleasant experience I had with empathy and understanding. What an asset she is to this branch. Best wishes ANZ Albany team. I know there are things we can do online, but sometimes it's okay and convenient to go into the branch and we shouldn't be made to feel guilty for doing so. Customers are what make profit for the bank and the old adage of speaking to people how you would like to be spoken to resonates with this superb young lady. I went in this week and I noticed a Bank Teller had throat lozenges on the desk. I immediately knew what for, sore throat which is a first symptom of covid!They had no mask on and was actually coughing.

Came up to mall anz bank as all other local ones are now closed.Waited in the que for 25 minutes and have a back condition was not happy.Why is there only two people on counter...there was ten i repeat ten people waiting!!!!. I walked past asb 5 counters operating and two people waiting..maybe time to swaps banks as service is poor.Know wonder has a 2.8 star rating...time to improve anz have bn with you for fourty years and this is how you look after your cutomerd
