Excellent price and very happy with the service. The car is running so much better after previously using a different mechanic. Guthries have not only fixed the problem they have done it in a good amount of time. Will definitely use them again.

Guthries said they had repaired overheating issue in our Subaru Outback. Motor cooked within 45 mins of picking up car from workshop. Guthries didn't want to know. Washed their hands of any responsibility. Wouldn't even come and pick the car up. One star is way to many.

There may be a diverse range of Auto Care shops around Wanganui but Guthrie's will always have my business. Genuine staff and old school service with great results

What you do get here is skilled workers who do exceptional work maintaining a high standard in repairs and additional checks for road worthiness that could be a problem further down the road. The Guthrie's team did a front drive shaft job on my truck, yes sounds expensive right, well the cost for parts, freight, labour and towage absolutely affordably cheaper than I thought, I was shocked and pleased .Thank you so much I would definitely go back and possibly keep them as my regular , I highly recommend this team to all consumers.,.Friendly staff and affordable prices ,.. Best and most trusted mechanics in town! My family has gone to Guthries auto care for almost 2 decades and have always received amazing and fair service. Jon has always gone the extra mile for us proactively identifying potential issues and rectifying them effectively before they became serious. So much so even though we live in Auckland we will often wait till we visit my parents in Wanganui to get a full service and groom for our vehicles.

We had an engine completely die on us 7 hours from home on a road trip. Car full of camping equipment and 2 young kids in tow too. Limped to the nearest mechanic and lucked out on this to notch company.They were clearly busy but saw the pickle we were in and did everything to help. Diagnosed the problem. Then sourced a hire van for us so we could get everyone and everything home.Fixed the car with an engine refurbishment, power steering pump and made it road worthy. Even sorted a warrant for us too.To top it all off, met us at the airport when our plane arrived at 7:30pm on a Friday night when the car was ready for the journey home.Couldn't recommend more highly!

Have enjoyed the service over the past many years. New vehicle complex contstruction bigger expenses. Might need to upgrade to an electric bicycle
