We had an appointment at Christchurch wellness center and was really running a bit late. Happened to take their taxi to Burnside road, for less then 2 km he charged me $23.50 when clearly on the meter was $11.60. How the hell the additional $ was added. He was rude and kept cribbing that we could walk instead of taking a taxi as he waited 3 hours in the line not to drop off people so close. What a rip off!!Beware and don't use their service again. Pathetic service and complete waste of money.

The fee was normal BUT got told the eftpos machine was broken so the driver tried to write down the credit card numbers on paper. He didn't say we can't use card when we got into the car, only after we got to the destination. Obviously a scam, be careful!!Also tried to take pictures of the taxi registration details but the driver got mad and started yelling “you annoy me, I’ll call the police”.Disgusting.

Just had the rudest taxi driver from the airport because he was mad I asked him to drive down my long driveway to be dropped off outside my house with my 2 children in the pouring rain. He detested be sis wit was dark for him to turn around & said he wished I got an Uber & then didn’t give me my $3.80 change cause reckoned he didn’t have any coins.No wonder this company has su h bad reviews, will never ever use this company again & recommend everyone to stay away. Get another job if you can’t fricken do a simple turn

They seem to be stuck in the 90s and only take card payment through those ancient carbon-copy press machines, to which they charge a $3 fee. 18km trip costed me $86.If only I'd read these reviews! Just get an Uber.

Couldn't wait to exit the cab. Stank terribly. Not sure if it was smoke (the driver Duran was a smoker) or a terrible scent thing (couldn't see any scent thingie) but made me cringe and in fact exited a little early to walk the last 50m. Nice enough driver. Bit strange as there was a $3 fee on the meter at the beginning at the airport, and at the end they added a $10 surcharge which is probably the airport fee. Think this is fairly standard.

Didn't tell me until we were at my destination that he couldn't take my eftpos card. Said he had expected me to have a credit card (not his place to assume such a thing). Took me to an ATM so I could get cash out; I requested a GST receipt for business purposes, was given a manual credit card slip with no Mainland Taxi details, no GST number, and the incorrect amount listed. So now I have to chase up their Head Office on Monday to get it fixed so my company will actually reimburse me.

Don't trust these guys. They are full of lying dishonest drivers trying to rip off kiwis. These foreign drivers are the worst in this company from my experience. Afghani drivers like to take advantage of people and their tongues only speak lies. As per other people's posts, once we reached destination he said eftpos machine is broken and didn't accept my cards, wanted me credit card details and asked for a receipt. It only had a gst number that didn't match anything and a fee. Avoid at all costs. Take a taxi from the bigger companies.Pic is of taxi with a filthy lying driver

Very poor value. Super expensive rates, $50 for a ride that’s $20 on Uber. Added $10 of extra charges at the end while Ha ring displayed only $5 the entire ride, then pressed the button and doubled it at drop off. Overall sneaky way of handling it and very disappointed.However, lesson learned and will stick with Uber now.
