My partner and I had a wonderful time on the happy hour cruise at Lake Wanaka yesterday. The staff were knowledgeable of the Wanaka area and gave a really entertaining and enthusiastic experience for us. We were sad to get off the boat when it ended! Definitely recommend to others looking for a casual and fun experience to explore Lake Wanaka

Midafternoon Cruise to Stevensons Island. Boat picks you up right on the foreshore. Using a ramp to board. Plenty of space to move around inside and outside. Great views from the front and the rear of the boat. Comfortable seats in the main cabin. This cruise is a bring your own but they do supply tea coffee and biscuits on the return voyage. Smooth sailing all the way. Very friendly and informative staff especially on the guided tour of the island. (See review of island). There is a toilet on board and also on the island.

Stevensons Island Cruise and Nature walk was awesome. Beautiful cruise on the lake, and a short walk to a picturesque lookout on Stevensons Island. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The boat itself is very clean. Would love to come back one day.

Lake Wanaka Cruises
had a great cruise with Tim and Bronnie, the boat was great and there was plenty of space to take in the amazing views of Lake Wanaka. Tim took us for a walk around Ruby island and taught us about the interesting history and local vegetation. I highly recommend this cruise as it gets you out on one of the most breathtaking lakes in the world. Regards Wayne

Lake Wanaka Cruises
Initially booked Ruby Island cruise but due to the heavy rain was rescheduled to the Stevensons Island cruise, thanks for accommodating! The boarding area is near Lake Wanaka Cruises as per Google maps between lake waterfront and the dinoursaur Park, spot this sign near the carpark. Lovely cruise to the island with a short walk up to an amazing viewpoint. Nice commentary provided by the guides.

We very nearly missed the boat as we couldn't make the online payment work but the skipper saw us on the shore and re-lowered the boarding slope for us and we're so glad he did.The two hour cruise to Stevenson's Island and nature walk was simply brilliant. A small group, modern boat and wonderful views made this a very nice afternoon indeed.

We took the three hour cruise and everything from the boarding ladder to the guided walk was top notch. Tim's knowlege of the history, flora and fauna of the area was encyclopaedic but much more interesting. His passion for the area was evident. Safety gidelines were delivered with a light humorous touch. The scenery was spectacular and the whole trip was engrossing. Very glad we booked early as the boat was at capacity, not that we felt squeezed.
