We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Athol. He was really knowledgeable and passionate about Dunedin’s past and future. We learned a lot and saw some hidden treasures that we would have missed otherwise. He was great company and made sure we felt warm and looked after on a cold day.

In my experience, these walking tours can be a bit hit and miss... Athol's love and passion for his city are a fundamental part of his approach, and come shining through on the journey. He is kind, friendly and knowledgeable it's a must do" when visiting Dunedin."

Today we did a fantastic one hour tour with Athol of the Dunedin warehouse precinct history, street art and architecture. Athol was so knowledgeable and he really brought the history of the area to life with interesting anecdotes of the people who have revitalised the area, at the same time discussing the street art and architectural features of the buildings. We really enjoyed the whole tour and would thoroughly recommend it. It was a pleasure to be in Athol’s company.Mary and Ross Howarth, Wellington

We had the most marvelous walk around Dunedin with Athol - it was fascinating and we really enjoyed it. He is a delightful person with a great delivery. He is both knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. The tour actually provided an excellent grounding for our visit to the Settler's Museum. We were able to put the exhibits in context more effectively courtesy of his tour. It was a great walk and I can't recommend City Walks highly enough. Athol also provided useful tips on what else to see and do in Dunedin which we really appreciated as we only there for a very short period.
