Dannemora Motor Inn

Unit was lovely, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Owner is a lovely lady who couldn't do enough for us. Was very apologizing for the mixup re which motel we were meant to go to, and also when I told her there was no toaster in unit. It had been stolen and she hadn't been told by staff. Would highly recommend it.

I DO NOT recommend this place at all anymore unfortunately! Should be 0-star rating now due to change of ownership. Paid a month in advance for my parents $165 for 1 night due to the convenience of its location this place was of close proximity to where they wanted to get to. They turned up and had to pay $180cash because the owner couldn't locate my booking. When I called her she kept telling me that there wasnt any booking made so was unable to confirm payment. After I sent her a receipt from my bank statement she then FINALLY confirmed this info & told me that the actual amount is $205 for the room so all up $345 and the difference of $140 cash was held as bond. Next morning 7.20am when my father went to check out the lady was rude and told him not to call the office before 8.30.....yet there was no info displayed on their office door/window to state their office hours, so my parents had no choice but to leave the keys in the room with no communication from her about the bond. After reading many poor reviews from people with similar bad experiences I decided I wasn't going to let this go. Contacted her several times about the bond and response from her was aggressive and hostile to say the least...with my details being apparently passed on to my phone company and the police (laughable I thought) so when I told HER that I will be lodging a complaint with the disputes tribunal she then proceeded with the refund. WASTE OF TIME and quite pathetic with the way she handled the situation really....she was dismissive, arrogant and just plain rude. Such a pity as previous owner was a stark contrast.

Stayed for 4 nights, meeting family from the USA before they tour NZ.Tidy rooms, easy parking, central to local shopping center and easy access to motorway.Traffic noise in the early morning and late afternoon because situated on main road and thru road.

Comfortable Bed, clean room. Just need to update windows to keep some of the Auckland humidity out. Manager was very helpful and let us store our luggage prior to check in so we did not have to worry about smash and grabs whilst at lunch

We have been staying here since december last year and we have had no problems what so ever. We actually enjoy living here. The lady is great with us we have no complaints about her. I believe everyone has their own opinions but mine is that we really do enjoy it.

Terrible experience when trying to book. Apparently it's being used for emergency housing. Owner is very rude. We were told by another property that we had dodged a bullet by not staying there as it is terrible. Don't waste your money. Much nicer properties and hosts around than this one

The Dannemora Motor Inn provided Myself and a group of stranded passengers turned friends with accommodation, warm beds and complimentary hot drinks. After some devastating weather that swept through Auckland and caused flooding all over, The Motor Inn was a safe place amongst the chaos going on outside.My bedroom was spotless and gorgeously decorated with plenty of amenities to make me feel at home. Avion made sure that our stay was comfortable and that assistance was nearby.My fellow stranded passengers said this.The room was beautifully presented, everything was in it. And avion came with milk if we needed it - JillianI also enjoyed my room, clean and well presented - LouAvion I enjoed trying to get your television on, but I got a smile from you this morning because I got it running. I thouroughly enjoyed my stay - Georgethere was another duo of people an aunt and neice who also enjoyed there stay and whom also became friends.On a personal note, this small adventure allowed for new connections to be made and the Inn allowed for those connections to begin. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and would certainly stay again.- The four Musketeers

The owner/manager was very accommodating and kind. Our flight was grounded, so the Air New Zealand thrust dozens of passengers on her at the last minute she was very helpful, and we slept well.

Bed couch needs replacing as so old and sinks in middle. Not pleasant. My sister had the bedroom and had to buy fly spray for the ants. No milk provided (1st time ever in a motel). Had to constantly ask for 2 flannels (2 of us) extra tea towels, dishcloths. Sign up saying if dishes not done will be charged. Then supply what needed. Always asking for more toilet paper. Shower came out like water coming out of a tap. One flow. Stayed for nearly a week there as hard to find accommodation in the area we wanted. So over priced for what we got (and didn’t get). Never again
