Fairly easy and fun track, suitable for families with children. Best travelling light with drink and snacks in the backpacks. Put my kids in their swimsuit before we started so they could enjoy the walk to the fullest.

Waiti stream originates in the Waitakere ranges, and creates the famous lake Wainamu in the Bethels beach area. It also is the source for the Wainamu falls. When this stream travels along the sand dunes of the Bethels beach it creates a vast landscape - a beautiful picture. Very lean in the summer, moderate in the winter and swells when it rains, Waiti stream is one of its own. This is the stream you need to cross and walk along if you want to visit the Wainamu falls.
