Truly authentic chinese flavor and experience as whole, including the same disengaging and borderline rude service you’d expect from many restaurants in China, and the service is slow, but consider the customer volume at that time, I guess is kinda understandable. The food quality, however, is the next level, it very much resembles the real taste of China, especially the North and Southwest, particularly their exquisite noodles that are absolutely hand made and different from everyone else in town, so darn good! The fish, is okay, nothing too especial.

This place was quite a find. It's not an auspicious name but the food is great, a very hearty style that appears to be from western China eg, Szechuan style. Very tasty and big sizes for a reasonable price.

Had been waiting for around 50 minutes before dinner time (around 4.00, can you imagine?) and wasn’t informed by the waiter that we needed to wait for so long. Though he did that to other customers later on. Guess it’s because there were too many online orders and somehow the waiter became so grumpy. I don’t want to blame him that much, after all, he’s too busy and there’re more orders coming. But it’s not customers’ faults either. We should have been informed earlier that we needed to wait for so long so my friend didn’t have to suffer from hypoglycemia. Plus, the food quality isn’t stable. This time, it’s awful. My dish is too salty!! Maybe the boss needs to rethink accepting too many online orders while there’re many customers waiting at the restaurant. Everyone isn’t happy. Food quality and employees’ wellbeing are equally important. I could spend the same amount of money to have so much more delicious food within a shorter period!

China Wok Restaurant is an absolute gem. Authentic dishes, it's cheap and cheerful and always full (when I've been there anyway). Every dish I've had has been delicious! Highly recommend.

The food here is extremely authentic and probably better than some of the places in Los Angeles where Chinese food is everywhere. We ordered the spicy lamb in pot, the wok fried chicken knees, and pig ears and they were absolutely delicious! The food came out quick and the owner was super friendly.

We visited The China Wok straight after eating at another restaurant and walking away from there still feeling hungry. So we didn’t order as much as we would normally at a Chinese restaurant but what we did have was delicious and great value. Plenty of people dining at the same time, a great atmosphere. This is our second visit here, definitely recommend visiting. Looking forward to trying the fish next time.

Overall very average, food is quite plain. Lots of parking outside the mall area, food tastes ok not the best, I think the one in Wigram will be a better selection.

This place serve really good Chinese food. One of their specialty is noodles. Their noodle is thick and super chewy. There are many variation of noodles you choose from. They have other great dishes as well. The portion size is huge for a great price.

This restaurant could be one of the best Chinese restaurant in Christchurch. They are really good on spicy food especially thier spicy roast fish.This time I try their new spicy and pickles chill roast fish, which is give me full of supise. Mostly the meal here would be a little be heavy on oil but this time not.Highly recommend !
