They have two things around the basin. The first on is the train station and line near their main building. The other is the water area for boating. Both are looked after by them. Quite a nice place for kids and kids at heart.

Took 3 year old grandson there today, absolute loved it,the people running it are so nice.If you are thinking of spending a good Sunday afternoon out with the kids, this is we hidden gem of a place too go.$2.00 a ride cheapest fun you will find in Auckland, Go along & support this place you want be disappointed.Thank you to all the drivers & the helpers who take the the time to provide this wonderful place, the joy my moko had today was priceless.

Lots of fun! The track has 2 tunnels and isn't too long for little ones. There are usually 2 trains operating and the queues are not overly long. There's also good parking.

Great experience! Friendly guys to help, kids absolutely love it, plenty of space to watch the trains come through the tunnels and around the tracks. Have been here three times and a great afternoon activity. Good prices too!

We go to Waipuna Lodge at least once a year for a family lunch. After lunch we always wander down to visit the railway and the children ( sometimes parents too) have rides on the little trains there. Such a good time for all and it is not expensive.

Lots of fun on a nice day for adults and kids alike. Small scale trains and the track is designed in such a way that the ride does go for quite a while which is nice. Walk around the nearby basin and also enjoy the nearby playgrounds.
