The Marion Hostel
I can say it again and again - best hostel I ever stayed. If you looking for the place to feel like home this is your hostel. I arrived after 33hours of traveling from Nepal with big food poisoning at like 9am in the morning. I knew the check in is starting from 2pm but thanks to the Gui (the boy working at the reception) he was very lovely and very understanding. He showed me around the kitchen facilities and other important rooms around the hostel - offered me to make a tea and even offered to have some pancakes as that morning hostel guests had a free fresh just cooked pancakes for everyone! that was so lovely even knowing that I haven't done my check in yet- it felt like Gui really cared about my wellbeing so thank you so much for this! Gui even said if the bed in the dorms will be available anytime from 11am onwards he will let me to the room as I was feeling very sick. The next morning I overslept my alarm and woke up only 30mins before my flight departs so after rushing to get an Uber I lost my favourite beanie somewhere between the room and the Uber! so I called to Marion hostel and they advised me that they found it and that they will send it to my address here in Queenstown! so here I am sitting with my beanie writing this review and feeling so grateful for such a good hospitality. Like always years and years to come Marion is never disappoints with hospitality and care. thank you. and see you next time!

Honestly, you couldn't pay me a $1000 to stay here. The services and quality is really top notch (the only reason I didn't give it a 1 star) but the owners take no responsibly enforcing the noise level rules. If you want a place to sleep, you might as well try the local night club as it will give you a similar experience. Want to be kept awake till the early hours of the morning with people banging, shouting, laughing and swearing, then this is the place for you.I honestly love everything else about this place, but yesterday was literally the worst experience I've ever had, even a noisy camp ground on new year's wasn't this bad.

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Super clean, really comfy beds, huge kitchen with everything you need and cool vibes. Book the Marion if you’re staying in Wellington! Also, a big shout out to Gui who was really accommodating and friendly.

This is a wonderful hostel with several quiet private rooms in addition to the usual dorm-style accommodations. My room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The shared facilities are well-maintained and the kitchen is excellent, with friendly supportive staff.

This is an amazing hostel. We stayed for one night in a dorm and one in a private room. Both were really reasonably priced. The facilities were modern and clean , obviously really well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful and able to answer questions. Complimentary tea and coffee, salt and pepper, oil and a range of spices in the kitchen. Curtains round all the dorm beds were nice for privacy too. Insanely good showers! Loads of communal areas. Great location too - right in the centre of town.

BEST HOSTEL EVER! I really enjoyed my stay. The hostel is so cozy, really well-decorated, clean (amazing kitchen, great that there is so much space and it is super well equipped. I also really like that there's oil and spices and tea, coffee and milk for free), staff super nice, great chill areas, beds very comfortable and there are bikes which can be rented for free!A M A Z I N G! :))In the showers there is plenty of space to put your stuff as well as in the dorms (by the beds there's also enough space you phone, books and there are curtains which is also great!).

Best hostel ove ever stayed in.Super clean and tidy. Someone had clearly thought about all the little things, like free milk/milk alternative, herbs and spices for cooking, enjoyable common areas.Shame I was only staying the night before catching the ferry

Very comfortable and clean beds, with a privacy curtain! A shelf close to the bed would be great. The rooftop terrace was very pleasant to chill out. The kitchen was well equipped. My bed shared a thin wall with the tv room so I could hear everything which kept me up. Great service from Gui and Co., I would definitely stay again! :)

Lovely welcoming hostel, where the staff remember your names, the rooms are well set out, clean and not over crowded. The kitchen has free drinks and is well stocked, well priced, just off the centre of town. Amazing wifi at good speeds for streaming. Much nicer than some hotels

Best hostel in Wellington, hands down!!The staff is amazing, the facilities are modern & the vibe is immaculate. The kitchen is spacious & well equipped to cook with friends. The rooftop is awesome to chill on day or night. The hostel itself is located right off Cuba street, which is super ideal if you’re visiting or moving to welly. It just draws in awesome & kind people. I was a long termer here, & I made some of my best friends at the Marion. The staff helped me when we moved out & are still our friends. I literally miss living here!
