Nice and easy walk under the forest canopy. Very relaxing. Highly recommended for families. Native flora and fauna is amazing!

A 15 minute walk to Big Tree Walk – a massive 1000 year old totata, which has an estimated life expentancy of 1500 to 2000 years. Who really knows, humans have not been around along enough in NZ, to really know for sure the exact date these trees can live too.Totarol is a compound extracted from the Totara tree. The French cosmetics and skin cream company L'Oreal tests around 1500 new ingredients every year. Apparently your worth it"

This is not a disability track, we drove several hours and were very disappointed to find the wheelchair track is only 220 metres long!!!! People in wheelchairs enjoy a lovely walk and only dream of actually having a disability track available to them that is longer than 200 metres! Please change your website so those that think they get to walk at least 15 minutes in their wheelchair isn't disappointed for the long drive there!

Definitely worth a look and a great trail for kids of all ages. Has a disabled path, but it doesn't go all the way to the end where the big tree is. Its stop 3/4 of the way with lots of steps if you want to proceed. If you're in a wheelchair you're better off doing the normal track and getting someone to push you.

Beautiful easy walks, well maintained tracks in native bush. Bit of a journey to get there but close to the campground and work a quick visit

Lovely walk with some incredible trees. Steep sections and stairs. Not sure I'd say this is suitable for people with mobility needs

To think that this was here long before we were! When it was a samplingEurope was coming out of the dark ages, the crusades were yet to be fought, it would be 500 yrs before the Americas would be found by Europe and a few hundred years before the first Mauri settles.

This is a short and delightful walk. To be in the presence of trees which are 1000 years old is special. Theres lots of other longer walks very near to add to this if you decide to explore further. There isnt too much explanation about the trees besides them - if you want to know more check out the DOC pamphlet on Peel Forest.
