Went here a month or so ago. Ordered the double meat burger and a chicken burger. The meat patties were flavourless and bland to the point where they tasted gross. The chicken was soo overcooked it was like rubber. Disapointed after reading positive reviews. Two of my friends went after i told them this and were also disapointed for various reasons also

Important things first, the food at Haumoana Burger is great! The burgers were made fresh and the waiting time for the ordered food was moderate to short. My wife and I were dining in" so we went and found a spot under a tree in the sun on old rugged camping chairs. The "garden" (= dining area) looks a bit rough and could do with some TLC and the tables could do with a cleanup before the guests show up.Once the burgers arrived

Wonderful service and great setting. Went with high expectations due to other reviews but in all honesty preferred the more flavoursome burgers at Burgur Fuel.

For $14.90 for a small burger was simply a one off. There was nothing special about it. The venison burger was over powered with plum sauce, a chunky peice of apple and regular tasty cheese.Making thinner slices of apple would have been better. More than a slice of tomato would have gone a long way.The size of the bun should be a lot bigger. It felt like I was being sold a party worth $14.90.I have been in the burger industry a few years and this place didnt cut the mustard.Now onto the prices of the rest of the place. If you want to pay a high price and show off, go there.Oh, and staff, make sure you spray & wipe, down the handle to the fridge and other on surfaces on quiet times, the fridge door was so greasy that it probably covered the entire next meal.For this, I give you 2 stars.
