I am experiencing the same complete lack of service as Angela P has posted in her review. Booked and paid for an initial consultation months in advance and then with 2 working days notice they informed me the psychiatrist had left to open his own practice. A backdated letter they sent said they received notice of this in January so plenty of time to inform clients. Thankfully we were able to keep our original appt with this psychiatrist at his new practice and he has been brilliant. Anteris Hamilton however have not yet refunded my $750 fee for a service they have not provided and they are not responding to emails and calls. My next step is disputes tribunal. Do not recommend dealing with them at all.

I had a smooth, easy experience with Anteris. I had an appointment booked for a future date within 2 days of Anteris receiving my referral. There was a slight adjustment to the date of the appointment and this was clearly communicated. Dr Nicholas Pascoe was amazing. He gave a clear and insightful diagnosis and talked through the steps of the process. A prescription was sent by Anteris to my pharmacy the same day after my appointment and I had it by that evening.

I am actually shocked by how bad my experience with Anteris has been. They were extremely responsive when it came to securing payment for appointments but the interest in their patients seems to end there. It took over a week to even get a response about a repeat prescription, only to be told my doctor was happy I had 'stabilised' on the medication (no communication took place to confirm this with me) and to get it from my GP in the future. Tried to ask again as my GP has no availability but got no reply. Tried to access an urgent prescription through my GP but I could not, as my special authority and prescriptions had never been sent through by Anteris to my GP!It is impossible to talk to anyone over the phone (goes straight to a voicemail service), and have had no luck with emailing either. I am now following up months later to get a copy of the report from my assessment (which I assumed would be sent to me without having to ask) and have just sent my third email. It is actually embarrassing how little care they have for patients - I understand that this is a profit driven business, but they should be ashamed of the service they provide. I expected so much more when paying a premium to access private psychiatric care.

I had an absolutely lovely experience with Anteris.I was hesitant to be referred due to the reviews on here, but despite those reviews, Anteris has been nothing but amazing during my ADHD diagnosis process. I first called them before they changed their phones to answer phone and a woman who answered was extremely kind in assisting me through the steps of getting diagnosed and a referral as it was my first time in the mental health system and I was only 17. My GP referred me to Anteris and they accepted my referral extremely fast and I had an initial appointment in less than a month of my referral. I saw Dr Leigh Meldrum who was extremely lovely (sad to see her go but wish her well back in Canada). The receptionists were also very lovely, both times I was in the practice. After my initial appointment, they were able to book me in for a months time away for a follow up and it was a very quick and easy process. My scripts for my medication from both my initial and follow up appointment were printed out for me to take to my pharmacy and I was able to get them the same day of the appointments. Prior to my follow up appointment, I had forgotten to pay my booking and so I phoned them and left a message the day after the due date and they were very understanding and called me back the same day to allow me to put the payment through. Not once did I feel any stress regarding payments, appointments, emails or phone calls with Anteris Tauranga. They have been extremely prompt to me and an overall great experience. I am sad to say goodbye to Anteris as now I will be at my GP for any dosage changes and repeats, but I appreciate all they have done. Many reviews state that they 'didn't get the medication right' or 'they don't reply immediately', and as much as these reviews have understandable concern, these receptionists and the Anteris company as a whole do what they can to respond to their many voice mails and emails in a day. In the end, the staff are only human and people can only do so much, and regarding medication, it is about trial and error to find what works best and you have to be willing to test it. There is no magical pill that will 'cure' you immediately, it is a process and it is important to respect this as it is your mental health that this affects.Thank you so much Anteris, I sincerely apologize on behalf of some of these terrible reviews and I hope that you are able to rebuild this company back in other locations again sometime. Thank you for all of your help with my diagnosis.

I have met online with Dr Meldrum twice. I think she's fantastic. After my first appointment, prescription was ready at my pharmacy by the time I finished work and follow up booked. After my last appointment on Friday, no script turned up. I tried to ring and got given multiple options for medication i.e. push 2 for..." and basically told to call my Dr. I ended up having to email twice and the script was finally send half an hour after the pharmacy closed for the weekend. Not ideal when the Dr had been writing my script whilst we were talking

I have been waiting for over a month for a repeat script, which I've followed up four times to no response. I would be happy to go to my GP but I can't, as they have not handed over care as they said they would. I'm pulling my hair out as I have no way to access my medication, which I've been told I should be regularly taking. On top of this, I have paid for an appointment, which I've not recieved a time for. You cannot reach anyone on the phone. I'm considering making a complaint to the disability commissioner.

Impossible to get a hold of. It's been 3 months since my referral. Not a word from them. Anteris have been making excuses for their lack of communication on the review section for a long time. A receptionist, a diary, and a phone should be sufficient to avoid this incredibly frustrating lack of service to people who likely already experience low motivation. Inexcusable.

Where do I start? My experience with the psychiatrist was positive. He is obviously a caring man who wants the best for me.Everything else has been poor beyond belief. If this was another kind of business delivering this kind of service, I would have kicked them to touch long ago but I've been held to ransom by the need to work with them for the sake of my mental health. They don't answer phone calls or voice messages. They don't answer emails. If someone does answer the phone you feel like you've won the lottery! One appointment was mis-scheduled and when offered a refund it never happened, but by then I didn't expect it would've been. I've only had one insincere, defensive apology from someone in admin there. This lot couldn't run a bath.

The psychiatrist I saw was lovely, but the systems this practice/business has in place is to make money period. Money up front for an appointment and then zero aftercare. it’s impossible to get ahold of your psychiatrist after mind altering medication is given post diagnosis even in the event of an emergency… where is the duty of care from a medical standpoint?... A complaint was made and passed on to the owner, but nothing has changed. FYI for the owner of Anteris - if one does end up needing emergency care, the hospital is limited in how they can help if you currently being “seen” by a private psychiatrist. Little good that does you if it’s blatantly impossible to get in touch with anyone at this practice let alone your psychiatrist.

I haven't even been to my appointment yet and they've done the following:Been completely terrible at communication. Takes them weeks to get back to you from a messege you left on their, clearly overflowing, answering machine (or email)Sent me text after text after email after missed call (I had my phone on silent for like 20 minutes. Figures.) saying that I had no paid for my appointment and if I didn't pay they would cancel it (I HAD paid. And it took them weeks to realise this) causing me added stress which I did not need. They have changed my appointment time to a week later however I have already booked and PAID FOR travel up to Tauranga that I can't cancel. If your doctor refers you to Anteris, save yourself the trouble and request anyone else.
