Phoenix Resort
Our room was very clean and much bigger than we expected! We even had our own large geothermal spa which was perfect after a long day of travelling. The resort is close to the water, shops and coffee.We were greeted with a very warm welcome and enjoyed every moment of our stay here.

Our unit had two levels with a gorgeous view over the lake. Nice facilities, lovely rose garden and trampoline that our daughter enjoyed the most. Heaps of restaurants within a minute drive.

Very dated, but obviously very well maintained. Very spacious rooms, very clean and tidy, GREAT hot tubs, Manager/owner was very nice and accommodating, and obviously kept everything very clean and tidy. Great location, only 5 minute drive to CBD. Highly recommend

Bob at the Pheonix was absolutley amazing.I showed up about 10pm and he was waiting for me to arrive to help me to my room and carried my luggage.The room was beautifully presented and the heater and lights were on. When I went to jump in bed the electric blanket was on and my bed was the perfect temperature.This to me is personally the best serviced I have recieved through all of the accomodation I have stayed at.Will definitely be back.Thank you Bob! You certainly know how to make your guests feel at home away from home

Loved our overnight stay here, the studio room was great. It has a kitchen with a range of utensils, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, stove top and dishwasher! The room has everything you could need. The mineral pool was awesome, so nice having your own private area. Very happy with the stay, we'll definitely be back again.

Great little resort. Right across the street from the lake and hot water beach.Free laundry which was very nice after traveling the last few days.The manager was very friendly and gave us great suggestions of things to check out around town.The private spa was really nice too. Just be careful with the temp. It can get really hot.Only downside is it's about a 5-10 minute drive from the restaurants and shops in town but there is a nice cafe across the street.

Up from Wellington. Good to arrive and enjoy the spa. (Naturally heated geothermal water) Comfortable and clean room. Great sleep. Enough space to enjoy company.Rooms 1, 9, 10 comfortable and warm

A nice family run resort with spacious rooms that provide everything you need. Fridge & freezer, dishwasher, stovetop, microwave. The private hot tubs in each room are a big perk. They fill up fast and it's easy to manage the temperature. What a luxury to have your very own refillable hot pool! The hotel is a little bit on the outskirts of town, but the driving is easy and parking is plentiful. It was very quiet and comfortable and I would stay here again.

Nice and roomy, clean, comfy bed, lovely place to stop. There are some neg comments about the spa, but as long as you realise they're not baths, it's more like a small private pool outside undercover, with fresh geothermal hot water you fill yourself.

Highly recommend. Good location. The room is clean and spacious. The boss is so friendly and patient. Hips of travel advices from him. Wifi is superb .We Will definitely come back next time!But the private hot spring pool is a little old and hopes to be improved.
