I use to LOVE their chicken. Until late night last night I couldn't go back to tell them. It was too far for us to drive back. But never again. Would get sick. Not fully cooked.

I'm a dedicated foodie with an adventurous palate, and I've had the joy of sampling fried chicken across the globe. However, I can say without a hint of hesitation that Avachi Fried Chicken stands head and shoulders above the competition.From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting. The warm lighting and rustic décor set the perfect stage for a hearty meal. The staff greeted us with authentic smiles, their service throughout the evening was prompt and cordial, striking that elusive balance between attentiveness and respect for dining privacy.Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the fried chicken. Avachi does not just serve fried chicken, they masterfully craft a food symphony. The chicken itself was impeccably cooked, tender and juicy on the inside, wrapped in an envelope of perfectly seasoned, crispy skin on the outside. The seasoning had a spectacular blend of spices that woke up every taste bud, with a remarkable harmony of flavors, neither too spicy nor too bland, but just right.The chicken was accompanied by a variety of delectable sides. The coleslaw was creamy, crunchy, and fresh, offering a refreshing counterpart to the chicken. The mashed potatoes were fluffy, with a homemade gravy that was savory and comforting. The biscuit was a delightful surprise, buttery, flaky, and just a bit crumbly, adding a nice contrasting texture to the meal.What truly set Avachi apart, though, was their signature hot sauce. Contrary to all the bad reviews, they have delivered consistent high quality food every single time I have been. The outside of the chicken is crunchy and flavourful whilst the inside is moist. The staff are amazing and are on the ball. Even giving me an alternative for free when they ran out. The only thing I would say are the chips in the boxes (Lunch, Dinner Box) are inconsistent, sometimes just perfect and sometimes soft. It may just be the fact of having the chicken in the box too long too. 10/10 would recommend for a good but affordable eat.

I tried a few things on menu now. They are good value and open late which Auckland central needs more of.Things I've tried:Fried chicken (thigh and drum): 3.5/5Crispy chicken burger: 8/10Cajun Chicken Kebab: 6/10 (poor ratio of meat/sauce to lettuce and was overall too dry and no flavour).Chicken steak (plum flavour): 10/10, crispy,great flavour from seasoning and obviously msg (which i like) ,juicy, big portion for $10. Possibly best chicken I ever had.Chicken steak is amazing. Try it for a different take on fried chicken. It's pretty much like amped up schnitzel. Probably super unhealthy (deep fried fat, carbs, sodium overload) but very worth it.

The google reviews seems to be really inconsistent but I’ve eaten from them over 8 times and from my experience, the chips and chicken are fresh and crunchy, nicely seasoned and juicy. Would recommend the Dinner or lunch box.

I had a ZHENGXING CHICKEN STEAK PLUM flavour. Chicken taste fresh and super crunchy! Nicely seasoned and not too expensive!Way better than old days:) I would recommend for a late night munchies!

I mostly eat fried chicken from there. Their ways of making fried chicken similar as others but they have the best taste in town. It is really delicious. Students from my school usually buys food from there. For sauce, u can put over the chicken or take as an extra sauce bottle. Their variety of sauces u can choose but if you want to put cheese over chicken you have to pay extra 1 dollar. I tried once but I dun like that kinda taste. If u buy under 10 NZD, you have to play 0.50 NZD for the bag. If you buy over 10 NZD, you dun have to pay extra money. The bag is FOC. I highly recommend you to try fried chickens once from there.

All-time Aromatic flavorful crunchy with soft tender chicken. A waiting of 5-10minutes during busy period to cook up a fresh batch of highly demand chxiken tights. Catering towards take away rather than dine in.

If you love the aroma and taste of burned hummus, this is the place for you!Completely ruined my chicken & salad meal :(Two stars because the chips were very good.

Chicken was so overcooked that it was the consistency of rubber, it was also just leaking with oil and the outside coating was soggy. The fries were average, not enough salt on them, and the salt it did have tasted off. The burger was alright but the chicken in there was also overcooked so when you bite into it the whole piece comes outs. Don’t understand the hype here as it’s overpriced for what it is, I will say that the customer service was great and the atmosphere was also nice however I probably won’t be returning until they’ve worked on some of those issues
