We booked a two bedroom caboose. It was just perfect for our weekend away. Clean tidy and comfortable. It had everything we needed including a heatpump, comfortable beds and an amazingly grunty shower. Oh did I mention a good sized fridge with a freezer. I would definitely booked this again.

Rooms had small fridge freezer,TV, microwave, kitchenette and not too pricey. Staff were friendly Showers and toilet facilities were warm when entering so great on a cool day.

If you want an old style family oriented campground this is it. Reminded me of the campgrounds my grandparents took me to as a kid and I thought it was great. Not flash, but welcoming with all the facilities you need somewhere like this. The staff were lovely and they really went the extra mile for me when my bike trip booking got messed up, they were amazing, found me a bike and dropped me a long way up the trail. Can’t thank you enough guys!

got mucked around a lot. felt like a scam as I wasted my money under the intentions of different circumstances that were promised before booking. There is not a warm bubbly friendly or welcoming feel to the place at all when you arrive that other camp grounds have.

We had an unpleasant experience. We got mucked around with our booking. Bad communication. We felt unwelcome from the start. Ended up leaving without even staying the night would rather sleep in my car. They took our money and returned us bad service. not a good look when the place is for sale getting one star reviews. They should treat their customers better. Wouldn’t recommend.

Have been coming to Alexandra holiday park for over 20 years. Now our adult children, partners and grandchildren all come each year aswell. We have always enjoyed the family friendly vibe that comes with the park. In the past three years they have a new manager (Marty) to assist the owners. With this has come loads of new activities for the children who really love Marty as he is extremely helpful and caring to all. We not only enjoy the wonderful summer weather but also enjoy seeing many of the same campers like us year after year. We will continue to come each year at Christmas and the odd weekend throughout the year for as long as we are able. I would recommend this to any family looking for a good kiwi family holiday.

Great weather and camping ground. Awesome layout and plenty of facilities available. However the showers and toilets are badly in need of an upgrade in the main block and the satellite blocks are degrading. Overall though the place is pretty good.

Awesome place to stay river makes it. Would be better if they had picnic tables around the diff camp site areas. Place is always clean and staff always friendly even with being low on staff and busy over summer. Great place to stay and perfect area to bring bikes.

Took our caravan and have stayed here over the years with our boys. Amenities clean and tidy. Plenty of variety to park your caravan and take in the scenery.
