Takoyaki restaurant

Saw this place on Instagram which was very attractive so wanted to try. We came wanting the okonomiyaki and the takoyaki but when we came, it seems like everything was sold out even though they just opened at 12pm and it was only 12.15pm. We ended up trying the jigoku tako anyway. The takoyaki itself was not that bad tasting, but I feel like the person making it probably was just a part time student or something. It took a long time and also the takoyaki ball didn't look that professionally made. It didn't taste bad however. Probably wont come back unless they make a lot of positive changes. It was definitely nothing like the instagram ad that I saw.

Very nice set up, tasty takoyaki and particularly the yakisoba well sauced albeit on the saltier side. I tend to only see takoyaki being sold at night markets or event food stores so it’s nice to know where you can get some thats readily available.

A cheap way to visit Japan. Great service. Great food. Top tip get the combo tako with the noodle snack. You can’t go wrong.

Not recommend at all. Only if you want a $13 plain undercooked okonomiyaki (I mean not even come with spring onions)

There really is no food like street food. Came to Auckland for a day trip and I'm more than satisfied with my choice of supper. I decided to get the pork yakisoba with egg and it was delish. My only complaint was that they were out of chopsticks, but what can you do. Atmosphere is super nice as well, eat at the bench if possible.

Great food, and cheap as well. I ordered okonomiyaki and it was huge (good for 2 people), cozy location. Highly recommend!

If takoyaki is your favorite snack. You should not miss this place. It's the best takoyaki in Auckland. Yummy!

I would not recommend this place if there are clearly two part-time students manning the stall. Contrary to the other reviews with only high praise and compliments, my partner and I had a horrible experience eating their food.Both the takoyaki and okonomiyaki that we ordered were undercooked with the takoyaki falling apart on our toothpicks.The okonomiyaki was even worse with the whole bottom being raw (attached a picture as reference). We had roughly half until I noticed my stomach acting up from the food. I asked the staff if the dish was properly cooked whilst showing our food and they reassured me that this is how it's meant to be served. Felt like the bottom was supposed to be a bit more crispy and they were just covering for themselves.

Went here during public holiday so the place closed around 2 pm. I was their last order. Delicious food
