Trident Creek Falls
A small waterfall along the Franz Josef Glacier walk.It is easy to view from the trail, and varies a bit in size with the water flow in different seasons.Be sure to stop and get a photo as you hike out to look at Franz Josef Glacier

Current lookout point for the glacier. Beautiful easy walk through native bush to the glacier lookout. Tracks, public toilet, and lookout area all fabulously maintained.

Walking from the parking lot on the Waiho River towards the glacier, you pass the 35 m high waterfall on the west bank of the Waiho River. It fans out into three separate cases and is therefore beautiful to look at. The way to the glacier is very rocky, and from time to time you have to jump over water rivulets. It takes a while until you can see the glacier tongue. Impressive!
