Sights @ Mount Victoria Lookout..After several days of hiking up and down hills, decided to hire a driver to bring me as close as possible to the summit. Still had to climb a few more metres to the top though..Standing over 190 metres above sea level, the 360 degree view is fantastic..The area also features the New Zealand National War Memorial, and a memorial to Richard Byrd, the American aviator who made the first flight over the South Pole.

Great panoramic views over Wellington. Can be accessed on foot, or by car, although there are about 30-40 steps to go up to get to the top viewpoint from the car park.

Great place to see the whole Wellington. Got to watch the weather as the cloud was very low when it was raining, and it spoiled the view, could not see anything. But when the cloud lifted the sight was gorgeous. You can even see planes landing. Also drive slowly when going up to the top as the roads are narrow and filled with parked cars.

A youth hostel with a good location, very convenient for travel. The kitchen equipment is also fully equipped. However, something that annoyed us just happened. We were preparing to have breakfast in the kitchen at 9:10 am. At this time, two staff members in work uniforms appeared and began to sand the walls and blow them with fans. , the kitchen and corridors are dusty, and one is being painted, we can't have breakfast, this moment breaks all the good things in this youth hostel! Hope to respect every traveler here

Great views of Wellington, the capital of Nu Zilund. Second windiest city in the world (after Chicago, apparently). It also features a memorial to the Byrd that flew over the South Pole. Richard Byrd is the first person to fly over both the North & South Poles and is considered a friend of New Zealand. The day views are fantastic, the sunset views are colourful enough to make van Gogh drool and the night views of the twinkling lights below, inspirational"!"

Not a long hike, if you walk from the Pirie steps, the walk through the nature is worth it.

It’s a cool stop if you like cities. I didn’t particularly care for it. It may be because we drove to the top versus hiked up to the top.Hiking to the top will make this all the more worth it.

Great view to see Wellington! You can drive to the top, easy for parking, plenty of parking space on top.

Wow so we drove our camper van up to this lookout a bit before sunset. I’m not gonna lie the view was worth the scary rv ascent to the top. Crazy views! Such a hidden gem. And one of the best photo spots in Wellington.
