Big Save Furniture

We ordered a bed at the beginning of April this year and were told there would be a five week wait. After six weeks it hadn’t arrived and we were told to wait another couple of weeks. 10 weeks after purchase we were told it hadn’t actually been ordered, so with that being corrected it would be another two/three weeks. Following this, we were told we would be phoned as soon as the bed arrived in store to organise delivery. At the 14 week mark I called the store to follow up and was told the bed had arrived in store the previous day and no one had thought to call. The delivery company delivered the bed in a really timely fashion however they are in no way associated with Big Save and overall we waited 14 and a half weeks for something we paid for under the pretence it would be five weeks.I can see from the other reviews this is a common issue for Big Save Dunedin so I’m interested to know what’s being done to mitigate this issue. I certainly will not be shopping there again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either.

Didn't have what was wanted but did get back to us after they sourced the product, ended up buying what was needed as were cheaper than any other supplier

Worst customer service I have EVER encountered!!!!! Ordered a bed on 23rd April. Told it would be delivered on 25th May. Have contacted the Dunedin store and told I would be called back twice. NEVER happened!!! Have emailed their Head Office, NO response!!! Contacted them on their Facebook page, NO response!!! This company has NO understanding of customer service. Take the money and then NOTHING!! Based on my experience I would warn people away from using this company. If this rating system had negative stars I would be using that. They certainly don't deserve even 1 star!!!Update: After intervention from senior management my bed was delivered.

Bought a new bed. Very helpful and obliging team

I bought queen bed with mattress cost over $4500 in January 2022they told me within 6weeks will deliver it, quality of mattress is not a in the show room. They sent me different Headboard, until September is not finished then I decided to get a refunded better than keep waiting. Team they are not honest, not answering calls and not reliable.

One of the best experiences I've had while furniture shopping.Staff were incredibly helpful, and very apologetic when their systems weren't working as intended, immediately working on a solution.Many of the issues here are corporate problems, and the in store team is a blessing for how they deal with them.

Staff are lovely at this store, but 7 months after ordering I do not have an ETA on when I will receive my sofa bed. The phone number sends you to an answering machine that is never answered. Would currently only recommend shopping at Big Save if you're purchasing an item they have in stock.

We will never shop at Big Save again. The service is bad they sell you stuff they have over sold, 6 weeks we waited for an item they keep telling us it was on it's way to finally be told they don't it in any of the stores but we could choose something else, stupidly we did & was promised it was in stock it never arrived on their promised date. It then took then over 2 weeks to refund us. I was the one always having to ring to find out what was happening.

Ordered a couch in January 2022, it is now June 2022…. I am still waiting on the couch, would not recommend ordering from big save at all, 6 months to still be waiting for the couch is beyond a joke. The staff are fantastic though, have been doing the best they can. However the problem seems to be coming from upper management as they do not seem to have their act together with starting new systems with out proper due diligence because in April I got a text to say I would be getting my couch, called the store to arrange the time, the lovely staff told me it’s still in the north island??? Overall I would highly recommend the staff but this is a terrible company, will not be ordering from big save again.
