What a place, could spend hours here, so many interesting things in every bit of this store. If you don't buy anything, the conversations with the owner are fantastic. Differently will be back.

I’ve been coming to David’s amazingly eclectic gallery/store for the past 35 years in its various renditions. David is a erudite character who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with the more esoteric and hard-to-find cultural relics of the ages. He’s a down-to-earth chap who’s usually up for a chat about all things interesting and has an amazing selection of vintage items of interest that you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in Wellington. If you haven’t been to this must-visit Wellington icon of a gallery, I’d highly recommend a visit next time you’re in upper Cuba/Abel Smith street. 5/5 stars.

Every time I visit, there's something I find for either my art projects or a good book to read.It's a cornucopia of miscellany.And the shop is run by a sociable fella who strikes up a conversation with me every time I'm there.One of the best second hand book stores in Wellington.Highly recommended.

This place was AWESOME. Something for everyone. I found some cool Star Wars collectable figurines for a really cheap price. David is chatty and friendly. Defo going there again on a rainy day, half an hour was definitely not enough!

This shop is a essential stop on any trip to Wellington. I've been visiting since the early 2000s, and I have never failed to find something fascinating, intriguing or just plain amazing amongst the incredible variety of items that David has gathered here. I've discovered new favourite authors (recommended in store) gifts for friends, clothes for my partner and even a replacement for a long-lost keychain that I could find nowhere else. Do yourself a favour and stop by - this place really is unique.
