We've been here before to pick blueberries which was a good experience. Just need to remember to bring a hat when doing it in under the summer sun. This time we were just stopping by the shop to buy a few 1kg boxes of blueberries to take home to the family. One of the boxes of blueberries had some where the base started to form a fuzzy green substance - seemed to effect mainly the larger berries. Lucky we hadn't left yet so we could return it. Staff was all good about it and we swapped it for another box.

Our campervanning family had a hankering for real fruit ice cream. We felt misled by the sign on the state highway advertising berry ice cream 200m, then after the turnoff a sign pointing us 4km down the road. When we did arrive we were disappointed by 'blueberry' being the single option on the 'choose your flavour ' board.

Great fun picking blueberries. Huge bushes filled with ripe fruit on a very large farm. Definitely something different for a sunny Sunday afternoon. If you just want a quick stop buy a blueberry ice cream or frozen yoghurt, or stop for an hour or so to grab a bucket and head down the road to pick your own.

Truly magical experienceRemember to get a room on the lounge level because get access to the lounge which has tea and happy hour provided!Also the room comes with an extra bedAnd can have shuttle bus or ferry ride to the disneyland park earlier than the rest of the guests. And comes with 2 free premier access pass too. Worth the super expensive money

This place has huge Orchards so be prepared to do some walking. Keep a hat, sunblock,bottle of water and walking shoes. Entry is free and $12.50 for a kg of blueberri es. Bit of a wait for getting an ice cream when they are busy. Good place for a family outing.

Go to the reception in the main building for directions to the PYO. We usually get the children to do a bathroom break because there are no bathroom in the orchard. Expect the usual muddy patch especially after a wet night, it is still a working orchard. Friendly staffs and clean facilities. A good family activity.

I go to here every picking season. You can get lots of delicious blueberries at a lower price and blueberry ice-cream is soooo good.

A bit far if you are driving from Auckland but totally worth the drive. Pyo Fresh blueberries during the season and freeze them for few months. Kids love this activity.
