Super friendly service but pub grub. Decor needs an overhaul. Great place for a drink and for a cheap as budget meal.

Decent spot for a pint. Plenty of cosy corners, a pool table, a dining room and outdoor seating. Staff are chill, sports on the screens and a relaxed vibe. Looks a bit dated in spots but I imagine anyone who ever lived in KeriKeri has one or two good stories about what goes down at the RockSalt.

Went here tonight and ordered Ribs, was told I had to pay straight away (so I decided I would not be having desert later, as do not want separate payments). I have had Ribs at 3 different restaurants in the past 8 days, and these were the worst. Bland, little flavour, fatty, and not much meat. Looked good, but were a let down. Also just plain wedges with sour cream. Most places also serve a coleslaw or something else for similar price.Plate was collected almost before I had put the fork down. I will not be back next time in Kerikeri.

Keeping credit cards before placing the food for 15 people. Is it legal? Do you really know the definition of hospitality business. And pushing to finish the meals fast so that customers left the place asap. Members from groups not allowed to split because the staff too scared that they will not receive any payments even they keep the credit card.

Rocksalt Restaurant & Bar
11 of us went to dinner here and everyone of us enjoyed our meal. Great menu choice. Were so full couldn’t fit dessert in so went back the next night to sample the desserts. Dessert menu not so great a choice but desserts were nice.
