Hashbrown was good, burger horrendous. Steak burger steak was so well done i was congratulating it, overcooked as hell, entirely brown, not a smidge of redness, dry, bad. I could see they tried to char the bun but it just tasted burnt and its not even crispy. Worst burger ive had in a long time. 16.8 dollars for a burger worse than mcdonald's.

Awesome spot for a cold Mexican beer after a long day (I'd hiked from north to south across New Zealand's narrowest point) and a delicious burger - I had the cheeseburger - with ample fries. Sit outside with the locals and watch the world go by while you take in the impressive skyline of downtown Auckland. A much better option than the expensive and jam-packed places along the Viaduct. Highly recommended.

I had a camembert burger. Bloody good. Big bun filled with yum. $13.50. Really good value. Tap beers. $9.00. It was a bit quiet, so I didn't have to shout. And I could hear too. Good if you are catching up with someone. There is red light near the front window and my mate and I thought we might attract some business, but naa. Maybe we were there too early or are too old and ugly. Haa. We were hot when we young. Anyway, go and enjoy!

One star is too generous - the service, staff, and food were atrocious.Firstly, they advertise $6 beers but charge $9 and have no beer menu to confirm prices. The staff just did not care when questioned.I ordered a 'hotdog' kids meal and they clearly do not know what a hot dog, therefore adding further poor communication and false advertising to the mix (it was cocktail frankfurts in batter). The food was definitely not fresh made or 'gourmet', clearly deep dried frozen foods, burnt patties and buns.I do not recommend!!!

Nice burger, hash bites were all right. Didn’t really appreciate sharing with the pigeons though, the waitress couldn’t care less, I was the only person eating in that evening so it wasn’t like she was too busy to shoo them out.

One of the good quality burgers I had in the town. Price is quite reasonable. Burgur has a large portion and chips is fresh too. Staff is friendly. I was quite enjoy with my friends.

Burger and Brew is a restaurant that likes to apply a smokey flavour to everything (also called burning the food). This does actually taste unique and fresh. However, it soon overstays its welcome, and a carbon taste permeates the mouth.Conversely, even through the burn, the patty was cooked beautifully, and the variety of meats was nothing but impressive. Unfortunately, the burger itself crumbled in the hands due to a small patty and a bad spread of vegetables. Not to mention the burnt bread that split as soon as any pressure was applied to it.The price was extremely easy on the wallet and is worth every cent. But, it doesn't cost more to not burn the food.To maintain its bustling popularity, Burger and Beer needs to create a cohesive burger while realising that a smokey taste is only good in small doses.
