The good, the bad, the ugly, The good the place looks amazing and the waiter was brilliant, The Bad Nachos could of done with being in a bigger bowl making them easier to eat, the chicken inside of the nachos could of done with some flavor, the Burrito I had was soggy mess, The Ugly, my parents got the steak, I highly recommend not doing this, they asked for medium rare not moooing, there potatoes were not very good, we also ended up with one party goer who got tacos ending up sick.The drinks, the drinks where great, I would recommend this place for snacks and drinks, but not the meals.

I love everything about amigos. The staff, the decor, the atmosphere, the drinks and most importantly the food! Every single taco I've had is exceptional. By far my favourite restaurant in Dunedin

If I paid half the price I'd still feel ripped off. I've been twice now and both times just weren't worth it.The food is fine. If you got it from a fastfood joint and it arrived in 5 minutes you'd think Fair enough". Only they're charging around $30 for mains

Nice enough Mexican place, worth checking out if that's what you are after. My friends and I went on their $5 taco Tuesday. This requires booking ahead, worth it. The staff were friendly and attentive, the tacos took about 30-40 minutes to arrive so if you're on-to it, look at the menu ahead and order immediately.I would probably recommend ordering about 4 if you are a girthy eater.

Pretty cool mexican food place! Great lunch options which are fairly priced. The main sizes are pricey and not much bigger than the lunch counterparts. Recommended

We visited Amigos as a couple reasonably early on a Sunday evening, and it already had a good vibe happening. Having booked online and been advised that there would be a window of just 75 minutes to dine (and coupled with the reviews we'd read about slow service), we were a little concerned we may feel rushed but the service was really quick and efficient. Entree to main meal turnaround was really quick, and the wait staff were very attentive. We kicked things off with bravas and kumara skins, and fried chicken - both dishes came with dipping sauces. Just delicious. We then followed it up with the quesadilla and a chicken burrito, with a side of fries. Again, both mains were amazing - very filling and we left wanting for nothing more (and we're big eaters!). We'll definitely be back.

We opted for the chicken nachos, which came with a price tag of $27.00. I was somewhat taken aback when I noticed that the bowl was predominantly filled with corn chips, with only a small amount of beans or chicken. This was particularly surprising given the cost of the dish. the service was great but we were there for the food.

I mean, it's fine for what it is. Don't go expecting great food. Set your expectations low for tex mex done fast and cheerful. Good for families.
