Food is fine, but senior staff member is often unfriendly towards me. I'm generally ok with this (like, we can't be chirpy all the time..) but today I ordered three items from the menu and was told one item was unavailable, so I went with the two. She complained, saying that she'd have to turn on a fryer just for my two items - so I left without anything. I visited at 3:30pm, when I guess traffic is low, but I know other fish-and-chip shops will keep one smaller fryer on for off-peak times. If friendliness is important to you I'd think twice about coming here. Yellow Chilli across the road are always friendly.

This place has slowly been getting worse over the last few years. The new change to crinkle cut chips was the last straw. No consistency day to day. A shame really as it has been our local for years.

Mediocre fish and chips. Lots of batter undercooked and poorly drained. One of the chip stores where you feel a bit I'll after eating there due to the extra grease and clumped salt. Not awful but I probably wouldn't go back.

Has been my local fish and chip shop for the past year. Would highly recommend their crumb fish. They also do really nice burgers particularly the chicken and cranberry one.

Pretty disappointed. Over priced! Food overcooked and possibly the fish has aged to the point I have a dodgy tummy this morning. Thete also appeared to an issue between staff. I won't be going back to find out.

Worst fckn burger ever! Save yourself a disappointment and go ANYWHERE else. Near rotten lettuce, paper thin slice of chicken with twice the amount of crumb/meat. And that's it, nothing else on their gourmet" chicken burger. Absolute disgrace of a fish and ship shop. And when I called up and told them my lettuce was brown and gooey

Really not sure what the bad reviews are on about! Got a fish, hot dog and half scoop of chips today (5 May 2023) and all were good. Fish crispy and tasted fine, chips were regular and not crinkle + cooked well. Hot dog also good. All of that only cost me $11.60 and was filling as. The customer service was also friendly as.Not the best chip shop in the city (that award goes to Fresko), but a solid local option nonetheless. Don't listen to the haters tbh...
