What a great facility for the kids and family! The splash pad is awesome and the toddler pool was great! All the changing facilities including the family changing rooms were clean. The pools were very clean. We only paid $1.70 for a 5 year old, two 4-year olds, a 3 year old and 4 supervising adults! Super great value for nearly 3 hours of fun. Highly recommend this pool and wish we have a facility as nice as this in Auckland!

This review is for lap swimming. The pool itself is large, with numerous lanes and a great temperature. In the mornings before noon, it’s generally pretty quiet and you usually have a lane to yourself. The other swimmers and staff are friendly and respectful. Docking one star because the pool isn’t the cleanest and there was a LOT of debris on the bottom of the pool every time I went. Hopefully management could work on that, because otherwise it would be the perfect place to swim. There are cubbies by the pool to store your things, including some lockers that can be used if you bring your own padlock. Also, if you’re just visiting for a short time, it may be cheaper to get a weekly pass to the gym in the building (which includes access to the pool) rather than purchasing daily pool passes. Just ask them about it at the front desk.Overall, great place to swim in Wellington. Highly recommend!

I’ve only been here once (just to be clear, as I can’t comment to what it’s like usually). Firstly, parking is minimal - be warned! The main pool was pretty big, there was a ‘medium’ sized pool for families which looked worryingly like a shrimp soup - heavy on the shrimp (ie, very full of people). Then there’s a toddler pool which is pretty big compared to most pools. There’s another room with three spa pools, and a sauna. It’s suffocating in there and if you’re mildly claustrophobic- don’t even try. The spa pools are tiny rectangles. I’m not sure what the maximum capacity is for them but anything more than three gets pretty intimate. It looks like a pool that’s probably great for locals, great for water sports (like water volley ball - if that’s a thing, they cut the big pool in half). But it really isn’t for the ‘out of towners.’ The minimum parking, it’s out toward the airport and if you’re in rush hour traffic it’s an absolute nightmare to move around. There is a cafe on sight. I didn’t use it so can’t comment on pricing etc

Lacks some features like wave pool or hydroslides but is very well patrolled, is really cheap so is great for taking your little ones there. Has 2 large pools for adults. Diving board etc and cafe. Not a bad place to spend a couple hours with the kids

SPA review: not really that nice area just by the reception. All three pools are same temperature and way too hot, over 40 degrees. You can stay max 5min and it gets too hot. Sauna is super dry and wrongly built, can't pour water on the stones. Only one sauna working, only one shower. Not a really nice place.

Great selection of pools. The one for small kids is great, I've been the many times when my daughter when she was young and had really good times. Hydropool is perfect for the leisurely exercise without lane swimming. I found the staff to be very nice and helpful.

In all the years of coming to the Aquatic Centre to the Hydro Motion classes and also the public sessions I have always found the reception staff very welcoming. As someone who has been in the 'front line' dealing with the public it is not always easy. Not once have I heard or seen any staff either lifeguards, club active staff or reception staff be rude or unwelcoming. I think they all do a great job.
