What a great place to stay!Rooms were cosy and warm, great linen, the showers were wide and ample. Vast space in the kitchen and lounge to chill and chat with other people. Also, the cat was lovely.I will definitely recommend it to my friends and I will be more than happy to stay here more nights.Thank you Sandra!

Loved my stay here. The place was so nice and peaceful and I got to meet some really cool people that were staying there as well. The facilities available was a lot more than I expected. The price was really good, the staff are so pleasant and very lovely. I would happily stay here again

Love this place! I came for 1 night and will definitely stay again. When I arrived I was given a door code so I could enter immediately and make myself at home. I went in winter so I had a dorm to myself. The cat Ginge who lives here is the sweetest ever. There is a cozy fireplace and everything one needs in the kitchen. Close to a dairy and restaurants. Thanks for having me!

Great little lodge! My partner and I have stayed here twice now. The Hosts are incredibly welcoming and kind, the lodge is very clean, comfortable and Homely. Just a fantastic little spot, highly recommend!

I only gave a 4 star rate for the room because at 3am in the morning the room next to us was talking really loud and woke us up. Besides that everything was great.

Really enjoyed our one night stay. Facilities were clean and extensive. Free wifi and friendly backpacker cat. Walls are thin so you’ll hear early risers heading off for a fish. Warm beds with heating in rooms. Would return! Thank you

I stayed with Riverstone backpackers with intent to stay there one day for Tongariro crossing. I stayed with this backpackers another 2 days in my recent nz trip.The room is very well maintained. Sandra, the owner, is very responsive to the communication. She is also very good communicator when she had time. Everything exceed my expectation!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Sandra the host is very friendly and helpful. Chilled out vibe. Extremely clean and tidy. Kitchen is so well decked out. Very handy to Turangi shops. Was a great base for us to do the Tongariro Crossing. We'll come back in the winter for sure!

Very clean and tidy rooms,bathrooms, shared kitchens. Only issue was the noise that other guests make when closing thier doors. Some guest really don't care about the other guests at all.
