Friendly staff good coffee. Great selection of pies, sandwiches and cakes. Elaines cafe the breakfast is s great way to start the day. Eat inside or there is a large area outside as well. Groceries and fuel here too. Fish and chip shop next door only open Fridays.

Total rip-off. A water bottle for 5 Dollar. Smelly and chaotic Shop. Nothing is sorted and there are no price tags. Be careful shopping here. Better avoid it and come prepared to lake rotoiti

after fueling up here with the overpriced petrol and buying a disgusting and cold pie, we got a punctured tyre just down the road due to a screw from the petrol station, we politely asked to borrow a tool to help us out, with children in the car and pouring in rain, they didn't want to help, and instead charged us $10 to borrow the tool which we didn't even use due to a lovely person finally stopping to help us. Greedy, money hungry and no interest at all to help the community. I will be sure not to stop here again.

We were very thirsty and hungry when we arrived from our long trip. We were delighted with the toasted pineapple/cheese/ham toasted Sammy,with chips and all washed down with a late double shot for her and strawberry milkshake for him.

✓ it's great to have little store where you can find food if you need to top up your supplies and also understand higher prices but....- no price tags and if there is price (vegetable/ fruit section it's not updated because behind counter they charged us $1 extra and not even bother to double check from one to other area.We will next time be sure to have enough supplies. Sorry guys for not great review but at least start having prices tags on your goods.

Strange vibe inside. Not very welcoming staff. They seem to charge whatever they feel like.. they scan the goods and as they can't find them in the system they make up a price. That's what I noticed a couple of times. So as other backpackers in the Alpine Lodge. Shop in a bigger supermarket before coming to St Arnaud is my advice.

I'm usually not one to complain but this place was horrible. $11 for a watery coffee and a spinach and fetta roll that had been in the warmer so long that I almost shattered my teeth attempting to bite through it. The fresh" fruit and veggies on display were just hours away from what I would consider going rancid.If you value either your money or your gastrointestinal system I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere."
