Maybe actually release the grades in time once when you strike for overwork and underpaid, if any of the teachers say I never delayed my grade release the whole time, you have the right to say. However, none of you do release the grades in time once in my two year of study. There is not even such thing as grade release due date. The teachers only know how to put requirements to students and put lots of pressure on them but never look back to themselves. If the strike means overwork and underpaid you can definitely check how many people work 60 hours a week with no holiday. The teachers work 40 hours per week with freaking lots of holidays, all lectures material are from last year and they said they overworked? excuse you? I worked harder in my last semester than some of the lecturers do. I got hypertension and other disease while studying my masters and where and what are they doing? If the teachers think they are underpaid, they can leave to find another good job, why not? there are more two universities in Auckland. Maybe just leave or seek some good opportunities and fantastic money in US.All these lecturers who start the strike, have they thought about students at all? do they understand some of the students may need the grades to apply jobs and visas? They are far more than some greedy and selfish. If the actions are related to university, why you have to drag students into it? None of these people deserve any pay rise at all for such characterics.Being teachers are too easy to you that is why you do not want to leave. Get some guts and find a new job if you can and stop accussing universities not doing anything. Cuz you don't deserve it.
