One of the most beautiful places I've seen in my life so far, Everytime I see a photo I get thrown back!Make sure to shop and get gas inbeforehand though, this place is expensive!

Stunning views along the shores of Lake Tekapo, with a few bench seats where you can contemplate the turquoise waters and snow-capped mountains. Pack some snacks and find shade under the trees, or try your hand at getting pebbles to skip across the lake's surface. Watch out for sandflies at dusk. On a clear night you'll be treated to zillions of stars - time your trip around the new moon.

Nice spot to relax and for taking photos. The setting is gorgeous during a clear sky with reflection of the mountains on the lake. There are also few ducks in the lake.

Lake Tekapo Picnic Bench
We visited Tekapo in December 2020 and stayed at the Godley Hotel nearby.This picnic bench was our go to place for lunch and breakfast instead of sitting inside any nearby cafe.Kids got a lot of green space to run around.A sunny day meant it was one of the best outdoor meals we have ever had in NZ.Although, it is a bit weird to review a picnic bench, however this one is exceptionally scenic and hence a review is mandated.Well recommended while strolling on the lake shore in the area.

Lake Tekapo Picnic Bench
The views are crazy and you feel like you are in a wallpaper or screensaver. Was down by the water’s edge two days in a row at sunset - about 6pm in September. During the golden hour, the light transforms the landscape as the sun goes down over the horizon.You simply have to be here to experience what true beauty is.
