Updated edit on this 24/5/23 - this bracelet has broken for the 4th time and is away for repairs FOR THE 4TH TIME!I came here to get a bracelet repaired that I had purchased at the Riccarton store only 3 months prior approx. The bracelet chain broke. On its return, it had been stained and discoloured....!!!!!!!!!! The staff were totally unhelpful and told me the staff that had sent it away prior were being extremely nice to send it away in the first place!? The bracelet broke after 3 months.... how is that being nice? That should be the bare minimum. The staff were unwilling to help. So disappointed. I will never ever shop at Michael Hill again, and advise everyone else to avoid them too.

My husband is possibly buying me a ring for a special birthday. Mei showed me a number of rings. I settled on a channel set diamond ring which she has put aside for my husband to see tomorrow. I had a very pleasant experience in the Cashel Street store thanks to Mei.

Had the most fantastic service from Sam at the Cashel St store! She was patient, friendly and accomodating. Made choosing engagement rings an experience to remember, we are very thankful :)

Prefer not to return - zero long term service! Dealt with an amazing older lady, I think potentially called Carol. We loved her to death and she really was the only amazing thing about the experience. Dropped $5k here and picked up jewellery, but couldn't even get them to confirm in writing that they had made the alterations we had ordered on purchase. Phonecalls/voicemail messages went unanswered. Incredibly poor service. South African store manager seemed nice at the time but made zero written contact as required. Disgusting that we paid so much for alterations and couldn't even get anyone to confirm that they had been done, for insurance. Carol needs to work in a different store. Their reputation lets her down. Untrustworthy, and would never return. What should have been an exciting engagement experience just felt like we were grossly taken advantage of.

Quite possibly the worst customer service in history. They tell you what you want to hear until they have your money, then it all goes downhill. Where they tell you something and the next day a staff member tells you a completely different story about what happened.Picked up my rings today that cost over $1000, and got them given to me in a small plastic bag...not even a box!Definitely wont ever be back.

I wanted a product that was out of stock at most branches but Ben from Michael Hill virtual team based in Christchurch contacted me (I'm in Wellington) and managed to contact Ashburton store for me as they had stock there and it was posted to me on the same day :) super friendly and helpful staff. Thanks guys!

I went there today to look for a ring for my sister. A lady called Carol came to help us straight away and was really lovely! She helped me find the rings in my price range and offered a lot of help. In the end I didn't buy one but Carol made me feel so welcome that I will definitely come back if I ever need to buy jewelry again.

Pretty salesy staff that push you to buy the most expensive thing they can. Haven't received a refund for nearly a month now.

Loved this Michael Hill Store! The ladies who helped me find my bridal set, Rika and Lin, were amazing, no pressure and very helpful - they encouraged me to try on styles that I wouldn't normally look at, as did my sister - I ended up choosing a set that didn't stick out to me but when I put it on I fell in love with it! I wasn't too sold on the rose gold that my set was but Rika told me it could be white gold dipped so it was perfect! Highly recommend this store ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bad services, I was expecting a professional and dedicated services to show and give different options for all type of gift, the women who attend me it was absolutely rude and give me jewellery that I wasn’t looking for, so I believe they need to get better training how to treat and approach clients.The last thing but not less she didn’t even take my details to register the necklace, after a couple of months I come back because the necklace is broken , but I didn’t have the receipt and they couldn’t find any information even when I provided all my details, so I need to spend and check in my bank account for 10 minutes to find the purchase date to give the details to them .. to finally get a solution.such a nightmare before and after the purchase.
