Mobile Hut Taupo (ex.Classic Mobiles)

I had my phone screen replaced a month ago, but then I found it glitchy from time to time, especially when charging. And sometime the battery would go flat all of a sudden when it shouldn’t be, because there’s enough battery. Then I had it opened to have a look, only to find that the staff failed to put one screw back to the phone, and that’s why it hasn’t been working properly these days. So just for future reference, they are not professional and well trained mobile phone fixers. That’s it. Disappointing.(I edited the review by adding two photos as a proof to make it more convincing. FIY, KEJUN LI is my Chinese name, and Ivy is the name that I normally use in daily conversations. I have left Taupo last month, so I don’t see the point of contacting you because there’s nothing you can do to make it up for my loss. )22/06/2022Responding to the shop owner’s last comment:Yes, I clearly remembered the conversation I had with the female technician, and you don’t have to emphasize on words like “ water damage, no guarantee, handed working phone in your hand”, as my complaint had nothing to do with any guarantee but your technician’s NEGLIGENCE for FAILING TO PUT A SCREW BACK ON THE PHONE.And please refer to what I have said before, and you can tell that I didn’t say the phone wasn’t working after getting fixed, but that it wasn’t working properly only because of losing an essential screw. So if you can’t guarantee to put all the screws back on, then yes, I have my expectations waaaaay too high.Anyway, this would be my last response.:)

Classic mobiles Taupo had my laptop for three months (it needed a new bulb) They originally told us it would take 2 weeks to repair.While the laptop was with them they told us on several occasions that it would be repaired in a week, then the next week they would say the same untill we eventually got tired of waiting and being lied to so we went and got the laptop back. They never once called to update us or tell us what was happening and when we would ring to make enquires his wife would say he was not in the shop.We went into the shop on several occasions and would be told it would be ready in two weeks each time.Will not use their services ever again or recommend to others to use.This guy does not have a good reputation with the locals. Is known for this kind of service.Beware!

I wanted to have a screen protector for my Apple Watch. After it got put on, the display didn’t resopond to my fingers properly. We told the guy that was serving us, but he tried to talk around it. We asked for a refund, all he wanted to give us, was a cheaper and not fitting glass for the watch. Another customer came in to get a refund and warned us, because she got her phone repaired, and it didn’t work after.
