Great service from Murray helped us assess the details and come up with a great plan for our pool / deck fencing.The team fitted the glass fencing on time and professionally. Murray made sure the spec was correct and it looks great.

I have to agree with the previous review from Bruce. Our experience with Homeplus was very similar, lack of communication and rudeness led to unpleasantness and disappointment, the end result was satisfactory but getting to that stage wasn’t a good experience unfortunately

Had Fly Screens installed and not only do they look amazing but the staff were wonderful to deal with. Made the experience very easy and simple. Highly recommend HomePlus Tauranga

Untidy and messy finishing on mdf doors, which we have basically been told is not their problem. Initially quite polite and helpful but quite rude when quizzed on workmanship.

Super helpful up until we made the purchase of the two screen doors. The man who came over to our house to fit it was lovely and really informative however we ordered on the 18 October we were told that it should be 5 weeks from our deposit being paid. Have asked multiple times for an eta no answer. Have had no responses from my emails since Nov 2. I have responded to the email thread not starting a new email and nothing. The assumption was that Trina wasn’t receiving my emails however as I’m responding to an email thread that seems to be a little perplexing… the woman I just spoke to on the phone said she’d look in to it and call me back back I find it confusing how she’ll also be able to do this with out taking my name or contact details.Can’t vouch for the quality of the product as we still haven’t received it with zero installation date or communication in sight.Beyond disappointing.

I was incredibly disappointed with the service from Home plus Tauranga, Trena the office lady was incredibly rude despite having paid in full for the service 5 months ago. I found getting a hold of Homeplus on the phone increasingly difficult.There was issues with Home plus having organized a worker who wasn't educated in how to install a shower doam and then the one day I have available each week to get things done was off the table for a re-install.Poor service from Trena, more flexibility or letting potential customers know in advance if there is a day off the table for installation and downtime prior to installation needs to be established during the quote process.Special thanks to the blokes who completed our install and apologies to the one gentleman who’s appointment I missed due to Mum brain and a new job!

Very poor service for the following reasons:1. Booked the first inspection of the property for installation of railing and no one showed up until a week later due to the receptionist booking the wrong date.2. After they had given me the quote I was told the job would be started in 4 weeks. 9 weeks later the job hadn’t started and then we went into lock down. Home plus tried to blame lockdown for their poor service and would not accept any responsibility3. Started the job once we were in alert level 3, left the job unfinished for about a week. I called the receptionist and complained about all these things and poor communication. She interrupted me and was rude.4. The job was only finished after I chased them up. No apology or discount offered for shoddy service. Very poor customer service and communication due which ruined this experience. The tradies who came over to do the job were fine and polite and the workmanship was good, but poor customer service

It's always a bit unfortunate when the staff have to defend the business but this franchisee operation is a good example of that. Staff apologies to customers when the front office muddle things. Franchises are often not indicative of the franchisors business but perhaps the two are linked. Fundamental to any successful business is good communication. Sadly, this place does not practice doing it. I get it that delays are a problem and other things get in the way (covid is a grand example) but the surviving businesses get the communication right, they add the extra effort and make sure their customers are in the loop. I don't think Homeplus fits that description and I worry they are setting themselves on a path that many other franchises have travelled, oblivion. Don't pay deposits to this place because they dont meet good business practices.

Thank you Murray and your HomePlus team in Tauranga. After 30 years of living with an old balustrade you came up with some great ideas for my renovation and the finished project is amazing. Clearly not only is my new look great for the house, it is also great for resale. Your support and guidance from the whole team who turned up and installed when they said they would, is much appreciated.

Muzz and Trena have done a couple of joba for us. One a fly screen which was great. The other was our pool fence. I got a couple of people around to quote. Muzz was outstanding in his knowledge and as important thinking about how it would all look. We had a few tricky bits that needed some creative thinking - a great solution was proposed. Nice work team!
