This is where we remember those who fought for the freedom we enjoy today. The dawn service on Anzac Day is held in this main war memorial. The garden is along very busy one way streets on all side. Not a very quiet place to contemplate but it is there as a reminder every time we drive by.

As a foreigner, the upkeep and garden can make you forget that you are in a city. I found it peaceful.

The Anzac Dawn Parade Service was held at the cenotaph, Queens Gardens this year in 2021. I went with my mother and sister. Despite it being Autumn, the grounds people did a lovely job of clearing the leaves and excess foliage for the service. Many thanks.

One of my most favorite comfortable spaces to enjoy your kai and coffee (from Blokes Barbers across the road)Be careful of where you place your kai though, the seagulls have no mercy, and are game af!!

Small park area down the road from the Railway station. Just head towards the settlers museum and you should see a large monument in the middle of the park. There are a few other monuments scattered across the park as well as a statue of Queen Victoria. There are a few seats near the monument if you wanted a place to rest. It also has a nice view of the first church located above it.

Good, clean park. Nice place to come and sit. Good location to walk through or just to have a break. Well worth a visit.
