Avis Car Rental Wellington Airport

No issues at all. Perfect.

Extremely good service, won't hesitate to return. We arrived at no notice and we're out of there in minutes - 5 stars!

Hired a vehicle for two days. On arrival to pick up the car the lady at the desk offered me a different vehicle from the one I originally picked online (that was okay). However the vehicle i was given had no foot mats in front and rear of vehicle (hard on your feet when traveling long distance). No boot shield for covering your bags in the boot (leaves it open to theft).It started to rain driving out of Wellington (the window wiper blades were worn and i could not see the road properly through the window screen). I took the car back the next day and ask for a refund for the final day of my hire due to what had happened and the safety issue. This was a stressful process and no reassurance was given in regard to the amount of money that would be returned or date of when i would receive my money.I am disappointed in this service provider and hope to receive a refund within a few days, fingers crossed.If you want a stress free car rental avoid Avis..

Not happy. We had no issues our entire trip from Auckland to here. We made sure to get gas the night before so we weren't rushing to get the car turned in. The pump clicked off and I tried pumping a little more in but it kept stopping. Turned the car on and it showed to the full line.I had prepaid for the entire vehicle. I now get a bill stating I owe $28.30 NZD for refueling. It was on the friggin full line. I didn't spend $30 the night before drop off for the hell of it.I understand it is petty to complain about so little, but I always make sure the rentals I rent are returned full. Kind of hard for me to dispute this when I'm back in my home country. I guess from now on I need to be diligent in documenting everything.Video footage on pick up and drop off. On top of that, there is no option to pay online. It's old school, pay by credit card seems to be the only option. If you want more information, you have to call a phone number.This was my first time booking with Avis, been booking with Budget prior. May have to change back.

Just want to thank the lovely staff member who helped us out today. We were a. Large group and went to the wrong car rental place but he went above and beyond to help us!

Took a return car to Auckland for Avis and can not speak highly enough for the service backup at both ends of the trip. RM

Have Prefferred membership so this is always an easy and straightforward experience when picking up or dropping off a car.

Easy system and helpful staff.  Handy location and car parking location is so close to the airport.  Had a 2021 Toyota Camry booked for 2 days.  Perfect condition and smooth easy driving.  Key return was easy with the drop box option.   Would highly recommend.
