Tekapo Springs

We visited the hot pools in winter to warm up a little. A free parking spot is right in front of the Tekapo springs. Unfortunately, the changing room was not heated which wasn’t pleasant while running around in our togs. Furthermore, the lockers cost 3$ for three hours which could be paid via card. As an alternative there were other storage compartments but they were open. There were three hot pools with different temperatures and the hottest one was adult only. They are perfect for relaxing after a nice hike and offered seating in the water. The view was quite good with the mountains and the Lake Tekapo in the background. Inside there was a restaurant which was ok and offered enough tables and a fireplace to warm up. The showers had a dispenser for shampoo, conditioner and shower gel but the water pressure and the warmth couldn’t be adjusted. They had a tog dryer and a Dyson hair dryer which was nice. Overall, a nice place to relax and warm up but still some room for minor improvements.

I feel compelled to share my feedback to shed light on the misleading aspects of the booking system and the lack of visitor control during our visit.Firstly, our disappointment stemmed from the fact that the booking system gave us the impression that there were limits on visitor numbers. Specifically, the system stated book 5+ remaining

It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the warmth of the pools. With various pools, with various temperatures available. It's easy to find the best one to suit you.The views are amazing! Can go rain or shine.

Excellent facility. Lots of activities to participate in. Could do with more parking. Great for families and all abilities.

Very amazing place to go to relax. We went at night and the stars were so amazing just by sitting in the hot pool. They do have activities for kids as well like the ice rink. Very afforable and well worth. Will definately do it again when im travelling through Lake Tekapō again.

3 main pools, a kid pool and a deep pool. $3 locker but doubt you need it for most people. Pleasant experience. Average public hot pools tbh. Worth doing while in town.

A perfect place to relax. A little pricey but I'm sure that the price helps to maintain the quality and standards.It's not so large that it feels impersonal, it's compact and each of the four main pool areas has a good level of privacy. The only observation that I'd make is that there aren't enough sunbeds or areas to sit when you're not in the pools.The pools, of which there are 4 main pools, are laid out on terraces, with the pool on the lowest level being the coolest, and then getting progressively warm the higher up the terrace you go.We visited on a warm late summer's day. The views are really good, the facilities really clean and well looked after and maintained. There's plenty of parking, a small cafe and shop to buy those all important swimwear items if you've forgotten your own.

Surrounded by an outstanding landscape, Tekapo Springs is a perfect place to enjoy your day relaxing at one of the 4 the hot pools or having fun at the ice rink. The staff is all very friendly and ready to help whenever needed. All the place is very near and clean. The cafe menu could be improved but it wasn’t bad either, and they also have a store there. You can rent towels or bathing robes in case you don’t have one of your own. Despite the light rain during all afternoon we got to enjoy all of the facilities. We had a great time and will definitely come back soon.
