I went to Melissa Carr Cosmetic Tattooing in June 2022. My brows were munted and skinny after a plucking mishap in the 90s. Having overplucked my brows, they just never grew back, and then as I got a bit older they thinned out a bit more naturally. My dodgy make up skills required that I create a set of brows every time I wanted to go out, and they looked pretty average at best. I had been keen on Melissa's service for some time and followed her page for a number of years before finally taking the plunge and booking in with her. I have no idea why I waited so long. Melissa gave me all of the information that I needed ahead of my appointment. I knew what to expect on the day, I knew what I needed to do to prepare. I followed the instructions to the letter. On the day of my brow appointment, I arrived to find a really friendly, bright and welcoming environment. Melissa explained how the brows she was going to create for me were for every day. She explained that she was going to measure the brows up to my face and existing brow line to create brows that sit perfectly on my face. She worked with me to find the right colour pigment based on skin tone and my hair colour, and then she got right to it! The process is relatively painless given that pre-numbing is done, and it's topped up as the procedure goes on. There was just the odd pinching feeling at times, but nothing painful or serious, and really no worse than plucking. My brows came out amazing. I could not stop looking at them in the rear view mirror on my way home! After care is really important, and Melissa gave me full instructions on how to care for my brows over the coming weeks ahead of a routine check up, and also what products not to use on your brows to avoid fading. I was amused as my brows became extremely dark in the following days, but I knew through what Melissa had told me and given me to read up on, that this was a normal part of the healing process. What was revealed after the healing was a pair of natural looking, well shaped eye brows that have really been such a confidence boost for me. I truly love what Melissa created for me, and I'm looking forward to my annual colour boost coming up soon. If you've been on the fence about getting your brows done, jump over to the brow side - you will not regret getting your brows done, and you certainly will not regret placing your brows in Melissa's hands. She is an absolute pro! I highly recommend Melissa. The only question for me now is ... what do I choose from her cosmetic tattooing list next?!

After surgery on my forehead, I was left with very sparce brows and scarring. Melissa has done an amazing job of my eyebrows and restored my self confidence. She was a true professional from beginning to end and we had a few laughs along the way. She gained extensive knowledge from me via email on exactly what I wanted as I live a 2 hour drive from her. She made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in the door, discussing the procedure thoroughly and choosing a colour and shape that was perfect for me. I had been thinking about cosmetic lips tattooing for a while. My lips are beautiful, just wanted to have them a little bit thicker although keeping the natural appearance. I trusted Melissa skills to do that and I am absolutely in love with the result. It has been 2 months since I had the procedure done and I can't help myself delight looking at them every time I see a mirror. If you are thinking about getting your lips done, there is no better professional than Melissa to do it. The clinic is spotless in terms of infection control and, as a biomedical scientist, I'm always strongly concerned about it. I have many words to express my happiness but, to sum up, it is worth it every coin invested and every km driven to get there.
