We've been here a couple of times previously and a great experience.Today was totally different. A lack of staff meant after about 10 minutes in a queue which didn't move we walked out in disgust. It seems this town has no one to staff in the hospo industry which is a shame. We ended up at a fish and chips shop. The host said that they can't get staff. A disappointing day in Diamond Harbour.

It’s my first coming at Diamond Harbour, I got some good food and cozy atmosphere, good quality and friendly service as well, a good place to settle down your mood after reading the lives of the people who rest at the memorial cemetery forever.

Terrible. One guy was just walking ariund doing nothing leaving the other staff member to di everything. Had to wait 25 minutes just for the coffee to arrive, it wasnt even busy. it was far too hot to drink. After another 20 minutes our food had not arrived , we left without eating ,asked for a refund but could not get one, it was all just too dramatiic and we went down to the fish and chip shop by the supermarket. Just save time and go directly to the supermarket for rolls and sandwiches or to the fish and chip shop.

Went to have lunch at 1PM and the cabinet was full of food not very appetizing but decided on something, went to pay and saw a menu on the back counter so asked if I could see it and said why haven't you got the menu so people can see it. Was told sorry, but I feel they were hiding it so they could sell the food in the cabinet. I ordered eggs Benedict and it came with shoulder bacon. I have never seen it made with shoulder in my life, always middle bacon. The 2 poached eggs were hard, the toast was made with stale bread that I couldn't cut and the hollandaise sauce was out of a bottle from the supermarket. I wondered why it was only $17 and not $20 or $22 like other places, I suppose to keep costs down by using inferior products they thought people only worry about the price which some people do, but most people would rather pay a little more and get a nice meal

Waited 25 minutes for a single takeaway coffee despite it being quiet and with two baristas on the machine. The girl at the front was lovely, but seemed to have all the work dumped on her while the guys just stood around. Coffee is good, but not worth missing the ferry for!

Probably one of the few restaurants around.Had the fish and chips and it's honestly not too bad.Good to get a seat either in front of the cafe or behind where it's facing the rugby field.

25 minute wait for 2 coffees. Then they asked to see our banking app for proof of payment as they couldn't remember us paying. Then they gave our order to someone else, when they realized they chased him outside and took it back and expected us to take it! It's been in another customers hands and they may have drunk some! All the staff looked like they just wanted to give up and go home. While we were there other customers walked out as they were sick of waiting. Wandering around with food and coffees trying to remember who ordered what half an hour ago seemed to be the system they have in place. Another bonus was watching a staff member dig through the rubbish bin looking for somthing while we all waited, she then returned to food service without washing her hands. I don't have a single positive point to mention.

Best advice “Don’t go there “. Took an hour to get four dishes and missed two of them, one was even out of stock and they decided to tell us after the payment (an hour later after the payment).

Best advice I could give would be DONT GO THERE. It took over an hour for our order to come to the table, and that was after 3 enquires as to how much longer it would be. When it did arrive it was ok. Felt very sorry for the young waiter - he was coping so much flack from disgruntled customers. Obviously management problems - had been before with previous owners and thoroughly enjoyed it. Such a shame it’s gone downhill so far and so quickly.
