Very efficient, respectful and friendly service from Auckland airport Apex team. Vehicle was clean, in very good condition and in keeping with what I wanted. Many thanks Dan and team for making this experience simple, comfortable and enjoyable.

We rented a car for 7 days to pick up in Auckland and drop off in Queenstown. Everything was great - efficient service, good communication, easy pick and drop off service, great and reliable car. We got everything we needed at a very reasonable price and would definitely use Apex again.

Tip! When waiting for shuttle at Auckland airport, just keep ringing. You'll get an answer machine 9 out of 10 times, but when you do get a real person they will come get you. Wait was about 1 hour. Booked 10 day rental from Auckland to Wellington January 2023.Apart from the shuttle pick-up the rest of the experience was excellent. Shuttle drop off at Wellington airport was excellent very efficient. Near new vehicle in excellent condition. All the vehicles we saw looked near new.Booked directly on their website. Which is always best if you don't want hassles. We booked a bit last minute and they were the only company we found with availability. I would definitely use them again. Price was reasonable especially considering no one else had availability.

We hired a car for 9 days during our North island trip. Car is reliable and the rental price is great value. They are not inside the airport so you need to call them to get the shuttle at the pick up point outside the airport which is 5-10 mins walk from the main building mostly undercover. The pick up process can be chaotic as there were many people and we could not get the seats after we put the luggages in the boot. We had to wait for another shuttle. Check in process was long and the person at the counter did not even tell me that they did not have the car we booked until I asked ( but luckily they upgrade the car - but dirty outside ). Overall customer service can be improved. Otherwise Happy experience with the car.

Never again. DO NOT EVER USE APEX. THERE ARE CHEAPER AND BETTER OPTIONS OUT THERE. We arrived at Auckland airport’s international terminal, and called the Apex office as instructed. We were told by a guy to wait at the shuttle bus waiting area, and were told it would take them 10 minutes to arrive. We spoke to them just before 1pm.We waited at the shuttle bus waiting area until 1.25pm, then became slightly worried that we were waiting at the wrong area. Multiple shuttles from other car rental companies came and left while we waited there. Some even arrived 3 times to pick up passengers.I gave the office a call at 1.25pm to double check on this and was told by a female staff “You’re fine.” with no explanation whatsoever. The shuttle bus arrived at 1.50pm (a 50-minute wait). I saw two passengers on the bus and realised that the shuttle had gone to the domestic terminal to pick up other passengers beforehand. This irked me as the staff could have handled this better by at least telling us the shuttle was picking up people from the domestic terminal FIRST - instead of giving a dismissive “you’re fine” reply.We arrived at the office and was attended to by a guy. He was condescending and extremely unsympathetic. We had trouble producing a drivers licence to get the car we booked. The company was understandably unable to accept it and could not rent the car to us. Which was fine. What was infuriating was the attitude of the guy who gave condescending and unhelpful comments like how we were on the verge of not being given the car, and giving plenty of unfriendly “no” responses in an “this is your problem, not mine” attitude when we asked if there were any other options for us.We left the office all stressed out as our holiday’s a planned road trip - we obviously needed a car. Happy to say that we entered the office of another car rental company and they did SO MUCH to help us. The female staff was sympathetic and managed to get a car for us. She was perfect. She found us a SUV which has a nice sunroof, secured it for our whole trip after making some arrangements, and even got it at a cheaper price than Apex.So I repeat. NEVER EVER CHOOSE APEX. THERE ARE BETTER AND CHEAPER OPTIONS OUT THERE WITH MUCH BETTER SERVICE.

Great service from pickup to drop-off. Hired our car for 22 days in the North Island picked up at Wellington Airport and returned to Auckland Airport, the staff were very friendly & helpful. Would recommend Apex Care hire to anyone visiting NZ. Thanks for your service.

Great rental company. Received an upgrade for the car for free due to unavailability of the vehicle we booked.When our ferry got cancelled, they answered our questions immediately. We could very easily change our booking and received a refund the next day! Great service, very kind people and would definitely recommend them.

Great to deal with and awesome prices, they were better than the competitors by a mile on prices. We were also able to pick up in Auckland and drop off in Christchurch with no extra cost.Will use them again for sure.So simple to cross to the South Island too as they supplied tickets for the ferry.I also changed the drop off time a couple of times and they replied within 24 hours and it was simple.

This is literally the slowest check in of any car hire, 40 minutes just sitting looking at these customers who also complained about taking an hour to check in, this is INSANE... pick up your game Apex Auckland Airport

Easy fast drop off the car, shuttle was quick and even had a baby seat. The shuttle driver was really polite and friendly.Company overall good experience, nice clean car on pick up and fast, no issues on return. Would recommend renting with them.
