Ferry Road Medical Centre

I rang this medical centre cause I have been asking about prices etc and also what was best for my partner as he hasn’t been registered anywhere and came over from the coast but I’m so angry and upset for the way I was treated over the phone by the receptionist talked over top of and everything before I had even asked my question I at this stage was getting so annoyed that she continued to talk over top of me and was rude I had to hang up cause otherwise I would of been the one in the wrong if I had sworn and spoke to her in a rude or vulgar fashion, a few moments later I called back to see if I was able to ask my question without being talked over she was at this stage rude as hell and didn’t want to talk to me for you being a business and continuing to grow apprently there are no spaces or your not taking on any new patients. I have kept the receptionist name quiet as I don’t want to make her feel attacked any anyway I explained how she had treated and spoken to me on the phone wasn’t nice and I felt very upset for the way I was treated when I just want to sign my partner up someone and get him a check up.

My doctor has moved from another excellent medical centre to this one, receptionists are very nice, but the nurses, oh what a disappointment. My kind and soft manners physio phoned them to clarify and issue with my ACC claim, and she has told me that she never has been felt more diminished in her life by one the nurses at this centre. Who these nurses, or some of them, think they are? They are being payed to HELP and lease between doctors and patients, but talking to another colleagues, that's also a different matter. So they are rude by nature with whoever gets on the phone. Not happy and please trained your nursing stuff to have better manners on the phone, and if they are too stressed oh well give them leave so they can go and do something else.

My girlfriend went here today with a cold. She has had trouble with breathing and lost her sense of smell. When she requested a covid test she was denied and told that it was essentially too much effort. I thought Aunty Cindy said to get a test, test, test. I guess some people don't respect government orders, oh well.

Have always found all staff very friendly helpful and efficient from the front desk, nurses and the doctors always help in anyway they can can’t speak highly enough of the team at Ferry Road medical

Please list online that you are unable to take new enrolments. Very upsetting to have waited the whole Christmas period to come in to the centre, following what is instructed on the website, just to be turned away at the door.

Very rude on the phone. Go to another doctor. UPDATE the lady they had who was rude all the time has since left, lovely people at reception there now. Good stuff.

Super friendly receptionists! Always polite and friendly on call and even better in person. Pleasant and quiet place to wait.

I have no complaints about the receptionists, I love my GP Geraldine Campbell, but I have twice felt disturbed by the manner in which one of the nurses spoke to me over the phone...rude, dismissive, interrupting and not listening, just bulldozing over me. I really think someone (the nurse in question) needs to brush up their ability to handle phone calls in a courteous way. I see other's have had similar issues with rudeness over the phone. Not a good look for an otherwise ok little medical center.

If the GP's here are as unpleasant as the receptionist (Peter) then I'd stay well clear. Such an arrogant & quite frankly vile individual!
