Bought a deus 2 rc unit from their website. Received an email saying they didn't have it in stock. I asked about an eta and was told they didn't have one. Cancelled the order. A day later the same item is listed on their site as in stock but $459 more expensive. I sent an email expressing my disdain and it changed to 'out of stock'. Not a trustworthy company based on this experience. Won't be using them again.

Super friendly and honest advice. Never felt that they were pushing me to buy the expensive stuff. Very knowledgeable and gave me the pros and cons of the models I was looking at.

The Minelab X-Terra 705 as my first purchase from Dan and his team and recently the Excalibur. Over the last 4 years, the service hasn't changed and I always feel welcomed. A recent issue with a Pointer and Dan was on the case straight away coming to me within moments after discussing it on a forum. That's great service!

The young guy who works on Saturdays told me Jacobs does the BEST passport photos in Aotearoa when I popped in and he was right ! Quality is way better than the chemist photos and for the same price. Guessing this was also due to his very professional ability and me feeling relaxed in front of the camera ( while trying not to smile :D)

Only bought the scope last week so haven't had a chance to really try it out, but the setup process seems easy and with the camera attachment I have taken one photo during the day of a tree in the distance while setting it up. Unfortunately, this week, the moon and stars haven't been above the horizon during my waking hours so haven't given the scope a full test. The team at Jacobs were very helpful, asking me a lot of questions before making a recommendation. Best of all, they didn't try to oversell me on a higher priced product and seemed genuinely keen to help me start my journey into looking at the stars.
