Apex Car Rentals Nelson Airport

I have used Apex before and they are great to deal with. Often the cheapest cars by far. You can call their office and they pick up straight away. My latest booking had to be cancelled due to the state of emergency in Nelson. Apex gave me a full refund and waived the cancellation fee. Will definitely be using them next time.

Overall, excellent car, great price and service. Pick up was easy although their system was down but they sent through an email later with necessary paperwork. The only missing star is for the cleanliness. The car we received was not clean at all both inside and outside.

Had a disappointing experience with Apex.Picked up the car from Christchurch branch, which is nice and smooth, the service was great. Returned the car at Nelson branch, however we left our lighter USB adapter in the car and asked them if they can arrange sending it back to Christchurch apex.We are told the parcel fee is $20, but a domestic post fee for a small object with NZ post only costs probably $5. We called back to ask again, they then said for lost property return, they charge a $25 process fee plus parcel fee, so it’s more expensive than before. The staff then send me an email showing the policy, however it is a document without any company signage on it and it also refers to Australia region.The adapter is not an expensive thing, but we’ve already spend hundreds dollars on the rental car, so expecting a customer service better than that.. I feel like the so called lost property policy here is to charge $25 and drive customers away when they forget stuff behind that is not important and avoid any extra work for themselves , they did not go a single extra mile for customers.

I used Apex for the first time I. Around 10 years. Since that last time the vehicle fleet are much newer. My Corolla had 50k km and was 2 years old. The price was great, the car was excellent. The service was friendly and efficient and included a shuttle to the airport (could walk in 10min). Will use again!

We booked a car at Nelson Airport. We received a modern car in excellent condition. Apex had super friendly staff. Shuttle service was easy and quick. One of the easiest and friendliest rental car experiences ever. I can totally recommend Apex in Nelson.

Great service in person, the car was ready and in great working order, shuttle ran to the airport within minutes of my turning up. Considering this was almost the cheapest option, I don't think I can fault this branch of Apex at all.

Had a bit of a rocky start as you have to call them up to organise the transfer once you arrive (but had to call 3 times before getting through).After about 10-15 mins, the transfer arrived, both the driver and the other staff members were all very friendly and courteous so it was all fine in the end.The actual car itself is really nice for the cheapest one they had available, although insurance did cost us an arm and a leg.
