Amazing shashimi and donburis. Great selection and friendly service. They also have a great selection of Japanese drinks such as the whiskey high ball and chuhi!

Japanese Sashimi Bar Ajimi
Food:(4/5)We had the Sashimi Don, Okonomiyaki, Squid and Tonkotsu ramen. Sashimi Don was so good and fresh. The squid was so tender and chewy. Okonomiyaki was a bit too mushy and greasy but very flavourful. Ramen was a bit average tho tasted like instant noodles. Very definitely come back for other dishes.Service:(5/5)The blue hair staff was so friendly and his service was impeccable. We had a very fun talking. Gonna visit his restaurant next time!

Have been here a lot of times!Fresh food, friendly staff and quick serving.We had beef tataki, large sashimi combo, and 4pc tuna sushi roll. I would give 9/10 to all three of them! Highly recommended when you shop at Dressmart mall.Food- 9/10 Really fresh!Environment - 7/10Hygiene - 7/10 tables a little bit old now.Service- 9/10 very friendly staff.Recommendation 10/10

A warm Japanese style mini bar. Very reasonable price. We had sashimi Dom and mix sashimi plate(cannot remember the name) as starter. The Don is OK, the sashimi on plate is too thin but it is acceptable considering the price.We also ordered Beef Scotch Steak and the lamb with black garlic miso. They were well seasoned and tasted quite good. Both of them are served in good potion.Ended with soy ramen, really feel of Japan.The shop is a bit tight and tables are too close to each other. But it is fine as a mini bar.

Dined in last night with friends and service was good. A small, cozy spot if you are craving for Japanese food. We ordered three from the menu. Their serving proportions were just right for us but if you're a big eater, you have to try other offerings as well. It was a rainy night and we were hungry for ramen. Not much options though, hoping they add more.

Loved our dinner here on 28/05, very kind staff, quick service and delicious food. Next time we're back in Auckland we'll definately return.

Came in and dined in for an expensive meal. The one slice of wangu beef cost $9 with some flame. I can’t say it is not good, the portion size is generally small similar to those in Japan. We might come back

Great Izakaya feel. Traditional looking with a great focal kitchen.Sit down and takeaway menus available.A bit pricey for some things but delicious flavors. Beautiful fresh food.Tonkatsu ramen is delicious with beautifully done eggs. Karaage chicken were so moist and tasty!!

Japanese Sashimi Bar Ajimi
Finally tried this place, have past it many times. However it turned out the food we ordered tasted just average, shashimi was not very fresh, either. Grilled beef tougue was really tough to chew, kararage chicken was dry not juicy.
