Genuinely the best vindaloo I've ever had. The perfect amount of spice, with deep flavour to it as well. The naan was light and perfectly done, going to come back here next time im in Westport!

Impressed with this wee Indian shop, butter chicken is tasty! Nan bread seems to get better every time I go in. I like that there is an option to get extra meat in the curries. We got a medium once which was pretty spicy, so unless you can handle spice I would stick to a mild. Only had takeway so can't comment on the restaurant service.

Great service and delicious food. My car battery was dead today out side the restaurant and the man that served us didn’t even hesitate to help. I really appreciated it. They go above and beyond. We live out of town but will definitely be back in. Thank you :)

The Copper Pot was a reasonably priced restaurant with good food, friendly professional service and average decor. Would definitely recommend as a place to go.

Not a good experience, won’t be back. They obviously want takeaway business but not dining in.We walked in for a weekday lunch around 12pm. We are the first and only customer. Want a quick meal. Quickly placed the order as we are hungry. We were waiting for at least 30mins for our main dishes. Even we are the only cx dining in. And there was no take away order ahead of us. take away customer even get the meal before us(we ordered same thing, chickpea curry)Butter chicken was plain and the chickpea curry tasted exactly like tomatoe paste and chickpea from the can, mix and warmed up in a microwave. We don’t like wasting so I thought to use it for the pizza for the night(replace tomato paste) so I asked for a small sauce container to take the sauce away. There was a dead ant inside the container and I only saw it when I poured the sauce in...When we paid, they asked for $1 for that small sauce container, as it’s a “take away”container. It is the size for ketchup at the fish chips shop. I don’t mind to pay as we all know the increase of the price of everything in nz. However, I do prefer to know before not after.I asked why it was the same price for take away meal as they don’t need to pay for the containers? I didn’t have an answer for it.At the end I paid for extra$1 for some tomato paste. Not a happy feeling you usually have after a meal.

A wise friend once told me that the state of the decor in an eatery is an indicator of the quality and service you can expect... please see attached image. The tandoori chicken entree was drier west coast summer road kill and when I expressed this I got a shoulder shrug and an ah well that's no good" from the pleasantly blunt server.Beware of the spicy factor. Mild is bland

Pretty good. Not the best curry I've had but it'll do in a pinch considering it's the only curry spot in Westport. Easy to order online to pick up. The online ordering system is really easy, wish more local places used this!

Service was fine however the food was by no means good. Ordered the pepper chicken which was dry and bland at best, a keema naan with off tasting meat and a medium korma chicken which I couldn't finish due to being drowned in chilli powder. Would certainly not recommended to anyone I like.
