Good things about it: Location is a plus. Close to the Queen St, Bank, stores, restaurants, bus stop and Albert Park. You can get in everywhere from there. It's a cheap option in case you don't plan to spend lots of money. Kitchen is big, although it could been more equipped. The hot-water filter was very useful (no need to boil water all the time).Bad things about it: Don't expect a very clean bedroom, because it's not. Rooms are cleaned once a week. The mattress and pillows are so old and unconfortable that you must take a little bit to get used and fall asleep. Apparently, the staff members are also LIVING there, so don't expect much cordiality and warmness from them. Just the basic. Nothing special about th rooftop: wood tables in a large area, and wind. The most terrible thing is: the elevator does not up from the ground floor to the first level, so you have to walk the stairs when getting to the hostel. If you have luggage with you (my case), good lucky on carrying everything with you on the stairs to the first floor.

Dark & unsettling (especially at night), many insane people, no AC, roaches… Just a place you really don’t wanna head out after your day. Basically every other hostel in Auckland will be a better choice for you

We came to this place at 2am for some rest at the airport.The place is full of cockroaches and the firealarm went off at 7am for half an hour.When we decided to leave in the horrible sound we didn’t get a refund for the few hours we spend awake.It’s not a hostel. Don’t stay here.

Nice place to stay as the hostel is located in the citycenter, just one minute from the nice Albert Park for Relaxing and Queens Street with all the shops and not far from the waterfront/quay.Toilets and showers are really very clean and quite new! The kitchen I can't assess as I didn't use it.

this place shouldn’t be running at all this is the worst hostel i have stayed at since i have started travelling the place looked under construction one should do them selves a favour by not living there

Friendly staff, the kitchen and bathrooms are clean and nice. I stayed for 2 weeks in a 6 dorm bed room and I had a great time. The people who are staying there longterm are great and even though the hostel isn't small, it's still very personal which I love. You gotta pay for the wifi, but you can share one code with other people so it's really cheap in the end. Highly recommend if you wanna stay in the city centre!

Cockroaches everywhere so unclean it’s a joke. The price you pay is not worth it.

A disastrous hostel from every point of view, starting with the elevator that does not work on the ground floor, so you have to go up with luggage to the first floor, the bathrooms are deplorable, dirty, a single shower, * There is a bathroom that has fantasy glass so you can see almost everything *. The beds have mattresses instead of mattresses or springs which are so old that they hurt you, in addition to making a very big noise when you move which bothers the other roommates, dirty sheets with body fluids, humidity in the rooms, lack of plugs, cracks, lack of any type of heating, there is no place to store luggage. The common areas are sinister and dark. In addition to strange people, you can hear screams of fights from the neighbors in other rooms, dirt everywhere,. In short, a place I hope to never return to and I don't recommend anyone to come.

Perfect hostel to stay in Auckland CBD. Warm and clean room. High quality of customer service. Will be back next time.

Reception stuff was friendly. Bathrooms modern and clean. The common areas spacious and comfortable. But the main thing why we booked the hostel was horrible: The beds have been very hard and out dated. Made noise with every small room you did or anyone else in your twelve bed dorm did.Luckily we stayed there only one night. Because the signs posted literally everywhere in the hostel made it feel like a prison with rules rules rules and penalties for everything. Not cool!
