Very nice campsite. Park-like with big trees. Great facilities. Because I didnt book there was no-one in reception but there was a number to ring and everything was arranged over the phone.

Thank you so much for the care and concern you showed me after a premature discharge from Greymouth hospital. I was to exhausted to get to my hometown of Nelson. Your intervention was reqd. Truly grateful, excellent place especially for campervans and motel requirements. Murchison has and does have a special place in my heart.

This owner is a total disgrace. I contacted qualmark to raise awareness and have been told that she hasn't even been a member since 2019! Their logo is still on her sign! We rented a cabin". It wasn't a cabin at all but a room in a building with cardboard thin walls built circa 1960 at a guess. There were four other rooms

This might be the nicest campground I've ever stayed at! We were in Murchison mid-February, so the weather was hot. We were tenting, and the tent sites are large with plenty of trees providing dappled shade. The kitchen/dining room was lovely, very clean, and with a long wood-turned table seating 12+ people, & leather furniture. The ladies bathroom also was really nice, with wood-turned benches. There are animals: chooks, a pig, and an emu! And the owners are super-nice people!

Stayed in a motel unit which was perfectly comfortable for a night but a bit dated. Nice and quiet. Charged me 2.1% more than advertised, which I guess is a card payment fee but that's a lot on an EFTPOS transaction and wasn't notified ahead of time which is actually illegal. I understand that small businesses need to charge payment fees to stay in business, and I don't really mind paying it, but it doesn't leave a good impression to not disclose it on advance (as is legally required).

A Gem in Murchison. Lovely shady trees for the hot weather while we camped in this picturesque park. Animals to look at and places to wander with my dog. Spotless facilities. A short stroll into town. Lyn and Brent delightful friendly hosts.

My partner and I had a room booked for the Friday night of Waitangi weekend 03/02/23 and due to a family member passing we could no longer go.We called and advised management of this on the Wednesday prior 01/02/23 and had left a voice message as no one was there to answer our call. We did not receive any communication back after our voice message despite leaving our name and number to call us back.My partner then called again a bit later.Lynn was not very nice to my partner on the phone. She told him how she had a business to run and that unless she can onsell the room she would charge us the full room fee, clearly showing a lack of consideration.On the Friday night 03/02/23 we had the transaction pending sitting in my Partners account. I thought this was weird as we had not received any communication to say we were going to be charged, so I personally gave Lynn a call. Again she was not nice to talk too. Mentioning how she has a business to run and can only refund us if she sells the room on. I again explained that we cannot be there as one of our family members had passed away. Lynn was not very professional or considerate during this call. Today 23/02/23 almost 3 weeks since our booking we have been charged. We have been charged with no communication from any staff at Kiwi Park and no contact from Lynn herself. We belive that is very unprofessional, rude and unfair. We gave plenty of warning about our cancelation and a very good reason for cancelation.Because of our experience, the lack of communication and no consideration from staff during this time I very strongly do not recommend this place to anyone.

Highly recommend staying at Kiwi Park Murchison. The lodge was warm & dry, beds were comfy (even the fold out couch!!), lovely shower pressure & heat, great kitchen facilities. And of course, you are fantastic in the role of Hostess of Kiwi Park!!!

I have had a sad, disappointing experience dealing with the management at Kiwi Park. My partner and I had booked a room for a Friday (03/02/23) but unfortunately due to a passing in our family we were unable to attend. I called up on the Wednesday before the booking explaining our situation. We spoke to Lynn on the phone and she was quite rude, saying that she has a business to run and that unless they can 'sell' my booking, they would still charge us.Today (23/02/23) I got a notification saying that Kiwi Park has charged our account, three weeks later. No contact from Lynn or Kiwi Parks to let us know.I feel it was super unprofessional, I feel as though this management has lacked understanding, and at this stage would never recommend this place to anyway.

It is a lovely and quiet place with plenty of space surrounding the grounds. A pleasant 10 minute easy walk into town centre.The owners are very obliging, helpful and friendly. A happy and interesting place to stay.
